She just oozes femininity and softness and love. Something that is so lacking in so many these days. I could listen to her speak for hours it truly satisfies my soul!
This is a wonderful interview, Rita Marley speaks very well, good stuff her words are very inspirational and soothing to the mind, i really enjoyed this interview.
Apparently this was done when Bob was in treatment..Michael Manley lost to Seaga in October 1980. Bob gas collapsed is Sept 1980 and diagnosed with cancer. Interviewer mentioned about 1980 general election. .why she was saying she wanted to visit Bob in Ethiopia.??..maybe she was hiding the real reason why Bob was not performing
@@ForensicDredxno the Zimbabwe shows were in April of that year, this was a very sad time as the rumours were swirling in London that Bob was very ill but it was never officially confirmed, all we were being told was that he was suffering exhaustion,so Rita really was just sticking to the official line
ya know, i think i do have that somewhere. maybe just the power of suggestion, though. i used to be so on top of my tape collection, now I'm regularly surprised by what I have and in some cases what I forgot I had. i'm still going through box #1 of cassettes to digitize and put up here. i think at least three boxes more after this. if i come across that tape, i'll post it up, no question.
Yeah I agree, it's strange. There was a Capital Radio dj from this period named Phil Allen, but he played other things and sounds different. Doubt he'd be the one to interview Rita. The cassette case says Rodigan, that's why I put that. Plus obviously Rodigan was on Capital Radio doing this reggae thing at this time. I would love a confirmation on who this might be, anyone has the info please post here and I will update!
She has the softest, most beautifully healing voice.

I love this interviewer. He was deeply invested in his craft. He was prepared. He was vested in Rita Marley’s new art.

Literally, listening to her now, and she's putting me to sleep, so soothing.

Had the honor to meet Rita at Eastern Connecticut State University many years ago in the late 1980s. God Bless you Ms. Rita. One Love.
The bob Marley family are my role models down to children, GOD bless you all Amen!!
So proud of her. She's a good woman and a Good Wife to Bob Marley. He did not divorce her and married someone else.

GOD BLESS RITA MARLEY.

This aint David Rodigan , she calls him Phil twice.
Bob didn't want the IThree's to even kiss anyone and I see why. Listen to that voice ❤❤❤❤🤤🫠

He might have been in Ethiopia he had a show in Zimbabwe so that might have been true because he never stopped performing until the bitter end
