- Vauxhall Vectra 1998 of John Cleland and Cleland motorsports. Originally campaigned in the 1998 season by John Cleland at 888 racing. Really awesome to still see John and his team running this at race meetings across Britain, the car is in fantastic shape and still looks and sounds great!

anyone notice the 99' headlights and front wings?
I think the remaining Supertourers these days all seem to be a mish-mash of whatever parts they can get hold of. The Volvo S40 of Jason Minshaw also seems to be running some 98 and 99 parts together. I can imagine parts are hard to come by.
@@MWRaceRally It looks like the headlight are stock, maybe they just prefer the 99' ones as the're one piece, i've seen another video where they mentioned the 99' cut front wings basically they all aloud them now regardless what original car had.
@@MWRaceRally Its likely given that both the 98 Vectras in the BTCC that John and Warwick drove were right hand drive not left, this is likely the 97 car in the newer livery.
John apparently owns chassis 001 of the Vectra's which was originally his 97 (LHD) car so it fits.

The 90s till the 2000s was pretty good in the touring car industry , now they are going back to their old roots , using high performance cars again as their platform , just like in the 80s 🙄
The mid to late 90’s were my favourite, maybe it’s the nostalgia value but there’s something really special about the Supertouring era!

I’m hoping to do some more Supertouring videos next year. I’ve got a new camera on the way, it just depends what cars are running where now.
