Years ago people needed to sound good to become a singer. When you'd go to a concert you'd get the actual singer without the perfection of editing. These days they can edit pitch as you sing, and more artists lip sync than ever before. Seeing someone performing like this is just refreshing.
Agreed, Karaoke, Live cover, etc etc is just really charming and beautiful even if they are not perfect, hell, the imperfection is what makes them feels more natural and enjoyable I still really like high fidelity studio-quality recording but sometimes, they are just "too perfect" that it sounds kinda samy especially if it is from the same album

Husky. There's an audience for that. I wonder why she says she can't speak English well, but sings with a bloodily blatantly obvious American accent, even when singing in Japanese? I enjoy her voice, but I don't really enjoy the songs she sings.
