Hello Dino. I saw your video and loved it. However I have some questions regarding my 312 and was hoping you could help. First question is if the transaxle is a limited slip. If so could I attach small hydraulic brakes to the exterior shaft and have it turn? My intention is to take the balls of these beautiful machines and turn it into a mini dozer. But I need one side to stop in different amounts to turn as soft or hard as I want. Didn't know if it could be done. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Also, the same tractor has been down for years. I was plowing snow with it then I heard a pop and now it won't move. What do you feel I may have done to it. I was told long ago that it might have been a pin inside the trans. Not such. Thanks again.

Could you tell me why you stated this is a 50 tons ??? Why is that as fifty tons is a lot of weight ?? One more thing, how expensive are the parts you need fella ?? Very well stated video you have made Sir
@mrdanocconor actually, both wheels function as the drive wheel until one of them starts to slip. It is the same with an old car 3 speed transmission. It has to do with the differential. When one of the tires is on like ice, it will spin on the ice...if the other tire was on the ice, it would spin. You need the 10 pinion limited slip differential to have both tire non slip.
Do you know where I can get bearings for this transmission? I need the axle bearing the needle wheel bearing. Also, how do you get the axle bearing out of the transmission case?
Robert Bock there are 2 websites l found very helpful, they have diagrams and parts number available, based on those diagrams l have order few parts for my wheel horse tractors and I'm able to see if the parts can be replaced without tearing the trans apart, in your case needle bearings I'm sure you have to take it apart.
