Let's remember that all those who hibernated did not fully mature, did not have time to build it. Their bodies and minds have stagnated; hence so many emotional conflicts. For Chisaki, she is certainly a case of someone who recovered something she had, old, but she had moved forward. Unlike them, who stopped in time, she had to deal with the loss to mature and, nevertheless, when she had the opportunity to recover all she had lost, she had this emotional imbalance. Tsumugu is definitely the product of a stoic thinking. He's been distant about this whole stint in hibernation, but we can't exactly say he hasn't suffered something. He may have faced a silent change, but he didn't surrender to it or let himself be destabilized, like Chisaki. I think the anime shows various approaches, which are relative to everyone. Identify or not, go with the change, don't dwell on what you've lost. The past never changes. This seems to be the message. The ending pleased me.

I don't think the story involves a fantasy, there's a real side, it's a division of realities. The story encompasses a general, that's why we didn't go deep into Tsumugu's feelings, it's hidden. The passage from hibernation is about all this. The story is more about sea dwellers than land dwellers, so we get to know the characters there better. Chisaki was from there, the feelings were turbulent because she had to deal with everything related to the sea. Tsumugu is not a rare example, he is exceptionally rational and patient with waiting, which means that he learned from an early age to regulate his emotions and act in order to obtain a result (Which is not strange to me, since he moved away from his family to live with his grandfather, he probably never followed his parent's ideals for the busy life in the city, which is why we see minimal contact between Tsumugu and his parents. Tsumugu's grandfather is someone he certainly gets to live with). Chisaki hopes to get a result, she was pushed to forget the past that was still attached to her. Tsumugu wasn't part of that past, he was just present. If you notice, the feelings of all the sea characters who were approached, even Hikari's sister, Akari. They were shown with more intensity, that is, the emphasis that the anime gives is on the characters of the sea. Tsumugu is someone distant, both in personality and plot. The plot does not fully enclose him, he is only part of it at the end, when we discover that part of him is also from the sea (As Tsumugu is not part of the main plot, it is difficult to try to notice something about him, on purpose, he will have more hidden feelings than the other characters and this makes deduction difficult.) Tsumugu appears to be someone who takes action and expects results. He was patient at all times until his confession, if you notice during a few episodes, you will notice certain flashes showing a difference in his way of acting. ThePirateQueen its a romance drama and fantasy anime with love triangles. even it’s if super sad, i highly recommend this anime to you!! it has beautiful soundtracks, and the art is incredible!! the story is super interesting but some events are super sad
💜Yes Chisaki is so thoughtful and caring, she suppresses her feelings for Hikari because she knows he loves Manaka, and she endured the bitterness of seeing Hikari caring for Manaka for all those years! 😢Even with Tsumugu, she denies her feelings for him because she wants to bring Manaka’s feelings of love back.

紡ちさきルートでうまくまとまったと思う
ちさきのほっとけない魔性の女感が好き。
まなかはたぶん光に成長する機会を奪われてきただけで本質的には芯が強い子。
反面ちさきはしっかりものに見えて芯が弱く保守的でかなりの依存体質。口では「大丈夫」って言うけど男なら放っておけるわけないというドラクエのビアンカタイプ。
昔ニコニコで性格が男受けするけど女には嫌われるタイプっていわれてたのがしっくり来る。
だから、好きな女の子に可能な限り合わせるタイプの要より光や紡のような多少強引な男の方が相性はいいと思う。
1クール目を見た時はまさか紡とちさきちゃんがくっつくとは思わなかった…普通にまなかと紡だと思ったし
