Pretty much anything you drop on the floor quickly becomes a cat trap. You can actually make a square on the floor out of masking tape and a cat will stand inside it. So cute!

Kitten updates are such wonderful mid-episode breathers. I'm glad Bobby is doing well. Sorry about the chop saw... Probably a larger scale solar power system would be able to handle it? I've seen others make it work, but they had massive battery banks and a dozen panels. That is probably too much of an investment at this stage in the project, though it's maybe something to look into long term. You seem to have plenty of property where you could potentially set up an unobtrusive little solar farm someday, and it'd be nice to be able to run everything in the place on it.
Smart move to buy the fire now when it’s a good price. Hopefully the weather cooperates soon so you can get on with the window and sort the tarpaulin out.

Nice price on the wood burner. I'm curious about that there isn't a fire brick on the inside that would help with holding the heat longer. We have a Morsø 2 B Standard made in Denmark. But we also have lots of snow and -29⁰ F in Minnesota. Keep up the good work it's coming together very nicely Sean.

Wow I wondered what the age of the cottage is. My instinct at seeing the derelict cottage would have been to RUN! It seems many years of neglect of the broken roof tiles have create the big holes in that roof which let water infiltrate. So many jobs to do ,like those “ purlins” that need removal and others require reinforcement. That end stone wall sure needs TLC. Another job you pointed out was the deteriorated line mortar that needs to be redone. I do not envy you all the work. What do you intend to use the structure for once it has been dragged into 2024?
