after watching the entire vid i just realized how talented this guy really is the fact that his game is so raw and unpolished and he's still an all star that's how much potential he's got
ya when it comes to scoring i feel like melo is back to the age where he was the shortest ball brother and that's why he's so used to taking floater instead of making contact first as the attacker. i think he also doubts the strength of his ankles against stronger defenders. he need to work on unorthodox finishes that the defense is not ready for if he's not going to get stronger
Hell nah. He’s not even a top 5 PG in the eastern conference. Dame, Halliburton, Brunson, Holiday, and Cade are all better than him. I think he’s in the same class with Trae Young.
Melo used to them early days when he was smaller than everyone else there was no absorbing contact and being this big physical guard he had to go around u and float it over u in order to score 😂 I think he still got that mentality
Well i like lamelo because it makes me feel special, i can rarely shoot when i try to do layups when someone would go infront of me, and i can barely score
He scored 92 points in high school, he has a different perspective of this game on and off the court, he sees weaknesses others don’t he’s confident, and put his reps in. The more he commits time into this game the better he’ll become
its his passing, iq, he was doing the same passes, when he was tiny tbh., you should check out, Jamal's Crawford , breakdown of his game, " best passer in the nba, in the last decade or two"
i think a healthy LaMelo with the drive to be the best could be the best, i just feel like he doesnt really want that though, he just wants to play and do his thing which is partly why he is one of my favorite players in the League.
Can you examine Trae Young's game? The blend of passing savvy, and his explosive scoring ability make him one of the most dynamic talents in the league.
The very moment bro gets even an average finishing game he is a superstar. His 3 pt shot is lowkey close to elite if u factor in difficulty of his 3 pt shots
Lamelo chooses the runner because it actually takes a lot less effort and a lot lesss energy remember lemelo ball was always a under the rim player most of his life he has always does that shot that isn’t something new if you’re familiar with him that’s why he’s able to finish at the rim crafty to he grew into his height very well he has potential to be top 3 if not the best one day I think so, also you mention strength I don’t think that has anything to do with it basketball is more of a mental game
LaMelo is a super star, his only weakness is stay healthy. Other than that LaMelo has no weaknesses. Every team could use his services, thats why the Hornets spent the most money they spent in the history of the Hornets just to keep LaMelo.
not the same at all in my opinion. Tyrese is a conservative passer and defender, he plays really safe while LaMelo like to take risky gambles which translate to entertainment. I like Tyrese but LaMelo is Showtime 2.0 IMO, he is solely bringing Puma basketball shoes on the map and even bringing international fans to root for the Hornets.
@@kairo5146 Idk man, Tyrese is not a conservative defender at all. His game is like CP3 but with no defense. Even if you watch the game, he lacks on-ball defence, ball watching and his help defense is trash compared to other NBA players. His defensive stats also back up my claim that he ranks lower than Lamelo and one of the lowest in the NBA at around 500+ something.
"hoping to find an angle",. lol ,bro., its called drawing players out of position, to create angles with iq, for shots and passes, , he sees this before even getting to that area.
I would disagree with strength being his weakness, I think it's more of decision making issues when in the paint/driving. Trae Young is like 160lbs and he gets buckets in the lane, definitely not a strength thing
I respectfully Disagree Trae Young at the Rim shot under 50% last year, and with the Physical Tools that Melo has he could be much more efficient around the basket, and I think allot of it comes down to him avoiding contact
He needs to just work on being able to finish and thats it and add more with his bag he has no euro or hop and hes overrated because of this he has a bag no doubt but its so predictable but the way he can move and use screens eith those moves it makes it difficult he bsssicslly just does a hezi a tween or a crossover step back tween something like that he does basic moves but he over dramatically does them to sell a lot of things easier
You had no good words for Melo like he’s not avg 20 and 7 per game his 3 point percentage is good as well alot of ppl said his shooting would be horrible
If melo just stays healthy he’s gonna be a all star for years to come he’s a generational type talent the two seasons he was healthy he seriously got the hornets to the play in game both times they got smashed but it says something about him getting them there without that much high level talent around him he can score he gets teammates involved he’s a capable defender when he’s locked in and rebounds at a high rate for a point guard not only that the fans and media love him the hornets have gotta do right by him and get him some real talent to play around
@@gordonbryant8144 its really not though, he is infact a generational talent. not to sht on wemby but people are calling him generational talent despite not even being half the player that LaMelo is, theyre calling him that purely based off height alone and thats just goofy.
