Soy un hombre de 58 años que toda su vida se a acompañado, vibrado y se a inspirado en el Rock y en muchos de sus exponentes. Y con toda sinceridad les puedo asegurar que tenía muchos años que una banda no me hacía sentir tan vivo, optimista y sin miedos. Esto aún que mis momentos están muy lejos de ser los mejores. Es realmente inspirador ver a tres hermosas señoritas con principios y educación, tremendamente talentosas y preparadas y sobre todo, agradecidas y generosas con su gente, lo cuál cualquier fan agradece de sobremanera. Y por si ésto no fuera poco, son "Mexicanas", cuando hoy más que nunca nuestro hermoso país necesita gente que sea punta de lanza para guiarnos a la grandeza que esta bendita nación y su bendita gente que tanto y tanto a sufrido está destinada a ser! ...Gracias a éstas auténticas Rock Stars que destilan música de alto octanaje 🚀 🎸🥁🎸 🇲🇽

She did say that when she found out that she was invited to that event she felt nervous because she was going to be in the company of doctor's, engineers,astronauts, and other very accomplished people and she was only a drummer she said that she felt nervous and that she did not belong there but her mom talked to her and told her that she did belong there because her music impacted a lot of people and inspired and even saved some people.
So yes she DID belong there and that is why she deserved that award,
And she will be receiving more awards, She is a very special lady in my book.

She's a strong, intelligent, sensitive woman who is going to leave her mark on the music industry, not just as a drummer but as an example of a good human.
Her intellectual maturity is off the charts, as is her sisters. They are all going to do huge things in the world beside music. I am going to meet them in Madrid, and I honestly hope I can keep my shit together, I have so much respect and admiration for them as musicians and as people.

This is great. I had a look at the programme for the conference. I can’t find anything stating specifically what the award is for. That said, there was actually two winners of the Global Award. Pau was one, the other was Diana Trujillo, an aerospace engineer and flight director at NASA ( yes, an actual rocket scientist)…Paulina is in good company.

Muchas veces lo eh escrito que pensaran los maestros que no les dieron clases a Pau? y ahora verla no solo es una gran baterista si no una inspiracion para muchas niñas y chicas y mujeres que los sueños se pueden lograr, y lastima fue el poco tiempo que dieron me hubiera gustado al menos unos 15 minutos pero bueno felicidades a Pau y a seguir cosechando exitos.

I love The Warning, and Pau just continues to impress me more and more each year. Unfortunately, 40-some years ago I was too short sighted to realize that it would be really handy to know more Spanish than just what was taught in 1 mandatory semester in middle school.
Any chance someone could help a TW fan out with some English subtitles, or even just an English transcript in the comments that we could read along with Pau's words? If not, does anyone know of a free translator app I should try, and would such a thing work if I let it listen to her speech?

Whoever started using the word woke as a negative connotation just fails to acknowledge that it really just means: being socially conscious; respecting others viewpoints and lifestyles; being aware, open-minded to change and current societal conditions; and being willing to express those things in spite of peoples narrow and sometimes antiquated view of the world. Admittedly, some go overboard with it and take it to the extreme, but you have that with any mindset and knowing the distinction is what takes one one step closer to being more accepting and precise in your criticisms and not generalizing an entire way of thinking to serve a narrative.
As far as I know, the association that granted the recognition does not emphasize social trends, rather they focus their work on helping women in vulnerable circumstances, equality of opportunity and prevention of mistreatment of women, all of which are very present in our society (Mexico) and the Recognitions are awarded to women who stand out in their fields of work and serve as an inspiration to the younger generations. and also to the extent that this aligns with the thinking of our queens of rock, so I applaud the well-deserved recognition for Pau (And Dany and Ale although they only gave it to Pau)
