Boiling hot water kills weeds without using salt. Rock salt kills everything, even horsetail as it takes the moisture out of the ground. I use rock salt because I’ve got a problem with horsetail.
Ive been using plain vinegat nothing else as if it were paint. A fluffy paint roller on a long handle dipped into the paint tray filled with the vinegar and roll it over the weeds.
