    Great job guys! Very informative and you all did an amazing job explaining it. As a current teacher, I give this an A+ presentation.

    Thanks for this guys! Going to re-suggest that you either get rid of the bottom banner with the Twitter handles or make it take up less screen space. As a viewer, I would rather see the full screen. It's also redundant because you have the handles above your images. My two cents.

    On the Walmart example, why would a debt repayment affect earnings?

    I think both should always be used. It’s great to have the standards, so as to make things more uniform and prevent companies from fudging their numbers. But it’s important to recognise that each business can also have unique factors that aren’t accounted for by GAAP

    I understand disregarding depreciation and amortization. What about ignoring stock-based compensation? I would perceive that as diluting the value of my stock, even though there is no real effect on cash flow.

      As we said, there's a debate! Some people say it is a cost. Others say it's accounted for in the growth of the share count. We are not here to debate that, we just wanted to explain the differences!

    terrific video guys! still not entirely sure why autodesk got 740 million back in income tax in Q1 of last year, if they dont get that unusually large amount back in q1 of this year would that not in turn increase their trailing PE to 90?

    So basically Non-GAAP is companies trying to find a way to polish up their financial repoort, LOL

    • @BrianFeroldiYT
      @BrianFeroldiYT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In some cases! Some investors hate non-gaap earnings. They are not good or bad -- you just need to know when they are useful and when they aren't
