This video was unplanned and you would of only got Part1 however I wanted more time in Southampton to explore and ride those Morris Vermaports at Bedford Place so I returned at a reasonable hour the next day.
This video continues from the night before where I was filming gone 9pm but most lifts were off or closed for the day.

The problem at Bedford Place seems to be the motor not starting. The indicator changes as if the controller thinks it has started to move but it hasn't. Very odd. Shame those John Lewis lifts are going to be replaced, definitely needed though, those get a battering! It's a shame the currently surviving Kone's have had a voice replacement, I preferred the older drucegrove announcements that they had before they replaced it with new Drucegrove. You missed out an old Kone Monospace in John Lewis!
Those glass lifts in the centre used to be Otis 2000's, they're bottom drive, shame they got modded, I doubt those Kones will last very long! That particular fixture line is NOT durable in the slightest! That lift in M&S is a Kone TMS, like the older Drucegrove announcements but the doors don't make the classic sound they usually make! They look to have been replaced. :(
That Stannah in H&M doesn't seem happy, I do like the TVC voice on it. I wonder if it uses TVC controller. I wonder what the Next store used to be as I guarantee that would not have been a Next originally considering it has an Otis 2000 H. Sports Direct with a Kone lift is rare enough but with two, that's really rare. Shame they're not that characterful. Needs to have more character though, pretty boring. Those fixtures won't hold up at all in Sports Direct.
That indicator on the lift at WHSmith seems to have broken very quickly. I like the Jumbo Dewhurst buttons though. The lift at Boots isn't too interesting but I do like the blue background, needs white text though as the black doesn't blend too well with the blue and makes it hard to read. Nice to see ILE in a Poundland, they should've chosen different Dewhurst buttons though as those buttons don't last very long, especially in a shop like Poundland. That lift in Waterstones is rather nice too, with the interesting buttons and everything.
Cargo 2000's definitely aren't lifts you see every day, nice to see them still running! I really like that voice too, makes a change from the usual voices you see on Otis lifts and it's nice to see them putting effort in to their lifts too because it's a custom voice.
Nice to see those Otis 2000's in the Westquay car park, those are epic! So many of them as well. The lifts in IKEA are still Schindler lifts underneath, just with a button replacement. Interesting to see sensor buttons that actually work, they seem pretty hit or miss from my experience! I find it a bit of a shame that Westquay has got Kone as their contractor for lifts now as Kone is becoming way too common, but I do like that short little lift to the bridge link, nice clunk and everything, but bring back other companies! My local has got mostly Kone's, lots of other shopping centres have Kone's too! Way too common now!
The lifts at Ocean MSCP have a very strange combination. That voice is apparently the voice for SEC lifts (the ones at House of Fraser in Westfield are SEC lifts but they have a custom voice) which is very VERY rare to find. They sound very violent though, but the clunk on the motor and everything is very nice. Why are the indicators so small? Ridiculous! DMG seems to be holding up very well indeed! I like those lifts! Those are MRL, you can see the gap in the wood panels on the top floor and the keyhole. The cabinet is just designed to blend in with the wall so it isn't visible
Great video and made for a good watch while bored on a very hot day!

The left hand set of kone office series are now Lester controls and have full inelegant levelling, but there a bit crap.

Such a shame to hear the kone office series lifts in John Lewis are going to be replaced with generics 🤬
