The westman atelier packaging reminds me of a shotgun shell 😂 i loove it though!! Your new lighthting is absolutely fantastic! It was amazing before with the level of detail you show but somehow its even better now! Best ive seen on youtube when it comes to detail of your skin and the actual product on your skin. I prefer VB for a natural look - I can imagine the WA looking quite cakey in reality but it would be great for photoshoots from an MUA standpoint. As Gucci Westman is a pro MUA she creates products for editorial looks and red carpet - whereas I think VB was creating a product to look super natural for daily life without any image editing xx

I recently got the WA concealer in M4 and was trying to figure out my VB shade, since these are the two brands of makeup I use (and I use Augustinus Bader skincare range), but I've decided not to bother with the VB. 2.4ml, crazy much??? I'm prepared to repurchase the lipsticks every 2 months because I love them so, but the WA concealer looks well superior here.
Tania, I did the same as you. I ordered M2 first then, I ordered M1 thinking I would need it for winter. A little goes a long way with the WA concealer. I am not convinced with the VB concealer so, I will not be ordering it. I ordered the Gucci highlighter in lilac and it's pretty but not sure how much use I will get with Winter coming.🤷🏻♀️ Tania are you going to review the Danessa Maverick new eyeshadow palette? I bought both , I have only used the Westman because the VB concealer got delivered today after I already got ready . I got M3 in Westman and M1 in VB and I can't believe I was spot on pretty much with both concealer colors . I have high hopes for the VB because that's what I like light coverage but I agree they could have added more product for the price lol I mean atleast make it an even 3 . The Westman less is more I used the tiniest dot kinda like I do with the Chanel Sub and I found it works best that way.
If I can buy an AB the (rich) cream for €75 for 15ml there’s no way I’d pay €75 for a 2,5 ml concealer with some AB skincare benefits. I love VB beauty (kajal liners, lid lustre, bronzing brick) but this is ridiculous.

You need color correction in peach -Givenchy and Huda have those. Then, use the exact shade of your foundation, and if you want some brightness a touch of the another in half or one lighter shade. So only three things and setting powder- I recommend translucent one.
I do not like makeup that contains skincare, because I feel like it boxes me in, to where in order to benefit and see skincare results you have to use that product ONLY and use it every day, and there's days that I am at home bare faced with no makeup on . I also use my eye creams morning and night, so I would rather buy and invest like you said in a separate skincare purchase rather than having it in my makeup.

I prefer the Westman Atelier side. According to the product description it does have skincare ingredients and will offer long term results with fine lines and dark circles over time.
I like the coverage from VBB better than WA, preferring a lighter coverage overall. However, nothing I’ve seen has persuaded me to switch from my Sisley Paris concealer for under eye. It’s also insanely expensive, has skin care in it, but that tiny tube lasts forever. You don’t need much at all, just three pinpoint eyes for lasting coverage that doesn’t crease. If you find it creases, you’ve applied too much. All that being said, I don’t use Sisley elsewhere on my face. For touch ups on my face, I like the Cle de Peau stick concealer. It’s thick, but it stretches and you don’t need much. Thanks for an informative video- it was very helpful.

How much of that skincare ingredient is really going to be absorbed on top of other skincare, SPF and foundation?? Unless you’re on a no makeup day and wear the concealer straight on bare skin, I don’t think the expensive skincare ingredients are necessary in a product that sits on top of so many layers. Save the money and actually invest in skincare. There are so many good concealer out there!

It’s €75 for VB’s micro concealer, which is NOT acceptable. It IS a crime.
So, idk why, but I feel like I have such a hard time finding a concealer that actually covers my purple under eyes.

I use the Charlotte Tilbury color corrector in the peach tone for under eye color.
Try this WA one. I struggle too but that one really is a step above once you get used to the texture and building it up rather than slapping it on.

I love a lot of VB products that I tried, but I’m not gonna spend this much on concealer especially for such a little coverage/product. I don’t care that it has skincare lol, also can’t stand the component. I saw a quick post on stories from kackie and it looks like shade one and two are wildly far apart

So apparently the Gucci highlighter is putty-ish, is because it has a looooot of dimethicone in it! (I went to check the ingredients and it's true).
The markup on VB concealer makes me want to vommit! And sorry but TFC8 does not have enough robust human studies to prove it efficacy for the price.
It is so incredibly overpriced.. I kind of feel cheated. I didn’t look at the oz before purchasing..
How much of that skincare ingredient is really going to be absorbed on top of other skincare, SPF and foundation?? Unless you’re on a no makeup day and wear the concealer straight on bare skin, I don’t think the expensive skincare ingredients are necessary in a product that sits on top of so many layers. Save the money and actually invest in skincare. There are so many good concealer out there!

To be fair, VB has just reduced the price on her site by $6 (to $114AUD), but I still won’t be buying until it’s at parity with other countries. Selfridges is still priced at $120.

I don't buy VB. Not a fan
of her personally. In my opinion VB is all about the $$$. The WA gives amazing coverage which is what I need.
That is absolutely ridiculous for the VB concealer especially for the amount you get!! I will not be purchasing that! I can not stand when brands are so stingy with the product!
