Thes colonial species do better hunting, fishing together, by selectively searching out and sizing up or herding their prey. Integration of size classes can aid small forest bird groups like chickadees, red breasted nuthatches, ruby crowned kinglets, and brown creepers, often searching for sunny spots throughout Winter. It seems if they do feed somewhat together.
