It's not about questioning your belief. I have always done charity in the name of god because that's what my parents have done. Not in temples but orphanages and dog shelters. My dad says that if you have ill in your heart and donate in lakhs still God won't be impressed. But with good intentions if you even donate 10 rupees God will be happy with you.
