Could you please tell me why we did not define F like we did M, b, and k. And what exactly is the input and output? Is time input and displacement output?
lets consider instead of force we are giving sine wave as an input (to replicate the road profile) and also we want the wave to move at some speed eg 20m/s so we can replicate a moving car ..... so how do we do that any suggestions??
how i will do in case of applying force. For example, a mass-damper (car suspension system) is at equilibrium position displaced 1m have m=50 Kg. Now external 20 Kg apply at t=2 second, now total mass is 70 Kg. How i check response in Simulink (what changes require for achieve response). Thanks
Its really helpful, I have a question, if mass is doubled by keeping all parameters Constance will the response will also increase by factor of 2 ?? Thank you
I can't thank you enough!! Great Video!
i am getting the graph in simulink, but when i use the command simplot(simout) in matlab it shows a blank graph! what to do? please help!
+partth hasmukhbhai shah try using ' plot(x) '
right button click in "simout" box
select ToWorkspace parameters
select Save format: "Structured With Time"
... and now
>> simplot(simout)
why does it show " variable 'k' does not exist" on changing gain from 1 to k?
plz reply

LIFE SAVIOR!!
can you help how to get response at different location of portal frame like fixed middle and free end in simulink
Hi, what do the values k, M and b, represent?
spring constant k,mass of block m,dashpot b
Hi, how you define value of force that you apply? In step settings?
Thanks

can anyone provide me with the link for the previous video? Thanks
This is the video, I hope it is not too late for you.

Awesome video! Thank you!
Thank you so much. It was really helpful.
Thank you. Easy to follow and understand, cheers.

can you help me for simulation for Train 4 masses please
Thank you, very nice video!
Create a Simulink model of the system of a spring-mass-damper system and let f(t)=10sin(2t). Plot the system response
This is awesome.
Very nice🎉
system parameters (mass and damping)
Good work.
Thank you very much^^
thank you
Cools VDO ,and appriciate for you eplain
excitalo con una fuerza impulso (delta dirac) !!!!
You didn't have to keep that microphone in your mouth.
thank u very nice
