Mine just arrived yesterday, and it really is an awesome figure overall. The articulation is some of the best we’ve ever seen in the SHMA line, with my opinion being that Evolved now sits at the 3rd spot for most articulated Godzilla figure ever made. The paint on mine is well done overall, with the only issue being that the right side of his face, where the cheek spikes are, weren’t painted pink like the left. Though, that seems to not be an uncommon thing. The dorsal fins are gorgeous; the fact that ALL of them are translucent is so cool. And, the green “wash” on mine is exceptionally minimal and unnoticeable in normal light (looking at the figure now). Overall, Evolved is expensive, and will be super rare after it goes out of production, but I’m quite satisfied with mine! Definitely the most articulated MV Godzilla figure ever made, and it’s not even close. FW Godzilla is still in first place for me, as it can do things that Evolved can’t *quite* reach overall, and the former can look up completely… But Evolved is excellent to pose, and has insane range overall.
Yes! A few tweaks and this could’ve been the best in the line! All things considered though the range is unexpectedly amazing in 95% of the figure, and I definitely don’t regret my purchase!
This is definitely one of the best reviews that I’ve seen for this figure. You have a very neutral and mature stance on SHMA as an overall brand, and I loved how you pointed out that, yes, these things can and will look different when harsher lighting is put on them, compared to in-person. Great job! As an SHMA collector (with some other brands sprinkled in), it’s nice to see some positivity overall for the line in the community. The head articulation is a bit of a bummer, and it looks like you really have to utilize the upper chest in combination with the legs to get him to look up. The jaw, interestingly, looks like it can open up pretty far from photos and videos I’ve seen? It does want to “reset” itself, though. Overall, Evolved looks like the MV version of FW Godzilla’s insane articulation, which is great. Looking forward to messing with mine! Also, completely agreed on Minus One, it’s legitimately my favorite new figure purchase of this year, still. Such a fascinating product in a good way.

the end of tail spikes are called thagomizers. i also sometimes have a little trouble remembering the name 😅 The figure looks awesome, especially your unit had better teeth paint than most of the ones that i've seen. W review 🔥
