@@moribnd thanks for the info. Euge plays basically the same style as me (but better LOL), so he’s now one of my two or three favorites on TH-cam. I am an old JCM800/Randy/Zakk/Sykes/Boss fan so as soon as I heard him play, it was like Heaven opened up. The fly boards with the Iconoclast has answered questions I’ve had for the past three years. Hi Euge, this episode was the most difficult to choose between the two amps. You know the 800 is my favourite and "wins" all the time. But this time I'll take both if you don' t mind. That plexi is such an iconic amp: from classic rock to metal it has it all. And where the plexi stops the 800 takes over into the realms of thunder and beyond. They compliment eachother wonderfully.
Thanks for the great epsiode and playing, I really enjoyed it!

Yet another great review! Your playing and comments would draw you in even if you have little interest in the equipment. I loved your R&R song. It reminds me of sped-up AC/DC or 1980"s Sammy Hagar. "If it's good...it's good"! :)
Of the 3 Marshall Studio heads, I like the Jubilee the least because of the tendency for it to get fizzy. It's still good though. There is something so magical about a Plexi. Between the Plexi and the 800, the Plexi sounds more harmonically rich with more chime. Except when you played the pinch harmonics on the 800...they really stood out. The 800 has more gain on tap than the Plexi and is a bit more aggressive. The only drawback to the Plexi is that you have really turn it up for it to become magical. The 800 would be more controllable and versatile. I suppose you could always have a post-phase inverter master volume installed in the Plexi. As I've said before, I think Marshall made a great decision to use EL34's in their Studio Series amps. I'm sure it makes a huge difference compared to EL84's.

Great stuff Euge!!! I am torn between those two. I just love the first VH albums, AC/DC and Zepplin. But also all of those 80 hard rock / hair stuff. What do you think would be better? Hey Euge, I was going through your three video's on the mini studio amps, and I was wondering if you added any additional EQ'ing of the first songs of each video and if you did was it the same? To me the mini-plexi sounds much darker, fatter and, can I say maybe more saturated? than the Jubilee and the 800. Since you are using the same setup and same Bogren IR on all three. I love all your tones on these, but this one a tad more evil... was the ESP tuned lower maybe? Thanks for taking the time to answer!

Dang, thought the SV20 was for those “classic tones” that sounds bad ass. Are you using an attenuator? I’m seriously looking at the SV but folks say its too freakin’ loud for home. Now your going over the chain, thanks.

Awesome job!! Really like the plexi but when you switch to the jcm I was like “that’s the one!” Also will it sound as good through a 1x12 rather than 2x12 or 4x12? I currently own a dsl40cr (combo) and wondering if I should make the change.

The chorus sounds sweet, been experimenting with it lately with chorus coming out of one amp (fender bandmaster) and dry only out of a vox ac15 with the two amps being pushed with a boss angry driver with the gain at 75% it gives an almost convincing rock tone even with a strat! Defo must get a Marshall again at some stage.....!

I was involved so yes 😎👌. It’s basically a ”lead” version of my favourite IR ’SoundOfGodEQ2’ from the rhythm pack with a bit tighter low end, more aggressive upper mids and a bit less fizzy highs 👌.
