    As said before Fuki got one of the most awesome voices in the japanese music world, but i think you noticed when she sing with Unlucky Morpheys. About Doll$boxx, it's a side project from another good band called Gacharin Spin with one Album only. The Gacharin Spin are still alive but with a change since first time, i'm adding videos, before and now :D
    With first old singer th-cam.com/video/SXZImsZujPc/w-d-xo.html
    With the drummer as singer th-cam.com/video/FPHOhw-ArKs/w-d-xo.html
    The modern formation th-cam.com/video/l8hE7XlRkUA/w-d-xo.html
    And the girls are in the field since 2009 :D

    Loud Twin Stars is another good one by Doll$Boxx. This song is pretty much a duet with Fuki and Hana (the drummer). The keyboard player growls but you can barely hear it in the mix.

    Thanks for taking a look at the all girl band - DOLL$BOXX - a side project of Gacharic Spin (four musicians) with singer Fuki (the blond). They released an album called DOLLS APARTMENT which is a loose concept album about starting a band and trying to get successful. Monopoly (4th song) is sort of about the singer (Fuki) getting famous and getting a big ego and leaving the others behind. The third song is called "Take my chance" - this is a put-on of what it takes for a new group to make it, playing at small clubs, hoping to attraction attention. It's kind of difficult to put this band into a single category as they play all types of rock. The singer in this project, Fuki, is considered one of the best female rock/metal vocalist around and has worked/working is a lot of different projects.
    Gacharic Spin started around 2009 with the drummer Hana (Hana Sano - blue hair - she is also the main singer) and the bassist F Chopper Koga (Michiko Koga), guitarist Tomo-zo (Tomoko Midorikawa) and keyboards Oreo Reona. Three of the girls were born in 1986 and the keyboardist in 1988. These four are exceptionally talented musicians. The guitarist and bassist are considered some of the best players in Japan. This is a good live performance to show they're talent and craziness - th-cam.com/video/Y1oUxt6R7Zw/w-d-xo.html

    You already found out the singer is Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus so let me shortly introduce the rest:
    TOMO-ZO (the guitarist) does EVERYTHING with a smile! She's a tiny little smiling monster on guitar!
    The slap-beast on Bass is F Chopper Koga, another greatly skilled and inovative player.
    OreoReona on Keys can keep up with the guitars when it comes to soloing.
    And Hana, the drummer.... can do everything lol
    These musicians minus Fuki actually form the band Gacharic Spin (at the time at least, they've added a few members since). Fuki had helped them out when they lost their first singer and apparantly they worked together so well that they formed Doll$boxx (the $ is pronounced as "s") as a project.
    For another Doll$boxx video I recommend "Shout Down"!
    Also check out Gacharic Spin of course! Hana and OreoReona took on most of the lead-vocal duties in that band after their first singer, Armmy, left (and sadly died later) and they added dancers to make up for the loss of a centerstage vocalist live. They have upgraded the lineup since though. They actualy got a new drummer so Hana was able to move to centerstage and do vocals an rythm-guitar and they also added another performer/vocalist. The live shows are insanely energetic. Every one of those ladies seems ready to explode at any given time.
    For Gacharic Spin songs, check out for example: "赤裸ライアー live", "Gold Dash" or "Next Stage" live (just don't start with Next Stage live maybe since its a bit of a special performance not representative their usual stage setup)

      @darrylwillie9256 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @timgove5337
      @timgove5337 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Darryl Willie , yes, and Koga was in Pink Panda (called BLiSTAR since she left in 08-09), and TomoZo’s pre Euphoria band made TV when she was 16, and Hana was in multiple prior bands, at 33 she just celebrated a 20th anniversary concert of being a signed artist). Fuki has been on over 90 releases in 12 years, that’s an album every 7 weeks since she was about 19 (yet the first five years were actually indie with light bringer), so, more like an release per month since... slightly popular...

      it's very funny indeed but also somewhat serious because it seems it's actually EXACTLY like that, except that large parts of the crowd are often much older than what is shown here from what I've seen sometimes. It's not even unreasonable to think an Idol-band would act EXACTLY like they did in this video in a real live setting....

      NewAeonWarlord The video, and in fact whole project (Doll$Boxx) is sarcastically calling out the sexist idol industry as an excuse to druel on developing teens. Their first album has a video series with each song, loosely following the progression of a band thru the business, and half of them are very sarcastic about industry controlling and using them (women/artists)

    Fuki has been around for years. Started out with Dragon Guardian it is really hard to find CD's of that band. Light Bringer is a little easier though. I do have DollsBoxx CD, just started listening to it again. It pronounced "Dolls Boxx". Fuki also has "Fuki Commune, and of course, Unlucky Morpheus. Tomo(gtr), she plays for Gacharic Spin too. She is, I do believe one of the founding members. She came over Eu-Phoria, along with keyboardist Reona. Hana(Drums), and Koga(Bass) is an original member of Gacharic Spin, and Founding member of DollsBoxx.. When I got into them Arrmy was singing then. she left due to personal issues. Next thing, I hear is Fuki is in DollsBoxx. The CD Kicks ass!

    As others have said Doll$boxx is a mix of Gacharic Spin and Fuki. They 1st got together when Gacharic Spin were on tour, they were having problems with their singer not turning up to concerts and practices. So near the start of one tour they had had enough and when on TV, and said that if anyone knew their songs contact them, and they could come on the tour with them. Well Fuki got in contact with them as she knew all their songs and ended up doing some of the tour with them. They all enjoyed it so much, they decided to form Doll$Boxx, who have a bit of a heavier sound than Gacharic Spin. Gacharic Spin some times do stuff under the name Metallic Spin, which covers classic metal songs, which they use a male singer. Spotlight Kid th-cam.com/video/iBWkWeknJco/w-d-xo.html
    I think if Tomo-zo (guitar) ever stops smiling the sun will go out.

    Things he noticed: They’re cute, Hana’s Guns, TomoZo smiles a lot while tapping on PaulReedSmith, Fuki’s range, that they’re playlist worthy, and that his guitar pinched his Pistachios enuff to sing Take On Me.
    Things he didn’t notice: Hana was growling English (“You think you can beat on me?!”, etc), Fuki is same Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus, lame dudes expecting preening were blown away by their rock, and that bass, keys, and multiple vox lines are their secret weapons
    Interesting call, Iwrestledabearonce, really hard to categorize, someone once noticed Republica. They really just throw every idea into every song, way overproduced in that sense, but means you hear something new every time and shows they love their “work”
    So Hana is a musical savant, signed at thirteen, plays every instrument. Agreed to learn drums for this band so that Japanese leading funkrock bassist Koga wouldn’t quit, initially attracted Japan’s only (at the time, 2009) woman shredder Eita to form a band doing Armmy(rip)’s sexy lyrics over Hana’s synth track playback, viola, Gacharic Spin. Three years later, backing keyboardist Oreo gets young TomoZo on guitar, Fuki & Arrmy come and go (& maid outfits make this vid popular 6months before BandMaid’s conception, hmmm), recently add new young drummer, Hana becomes a kickboxing 2ndguitar front woman and they’re currently on their fourth high schooler as lead-dancer/performer/co-vocalist. Their 2020 album Gold Dash was written (commissioned?) to support Paralympic athletes, positive (if sarcastic) vocals being Hana’s strength (Armmy’s sexy lyrics were only 2009-11; Fuki’s Literature nerd fantasy lyrics were only Doll$Boxx releases: 2012&2017. They were separate labels, first one is on TH-cam but not Spotify). So check out single Gold Dash, the multiple time signature switching without losing pop appeal reminds me of Rush... as often in japan, some lyrics are in English; as often in Hana’s world, it’s in the callback and breakdown vocals... th-cam.com/video/l8hE7XlRkUA/w-d-xo.html or to see this newest lineup live, try Juicy Beats, a sexy old Arrmy tune (“turn me on”, “satisfaction”, but remember, pinkhaired 75lb Angie juuust turned 18) that they changed from synth rave to their current heavier but eclectic big-stage entertainment style th-cam.com/video/xVA28Qjp_Jo/w-d-xo.html (brought it down one step for the vocals, then a full octave on the instruments, then gave the first half of the already prog breakdown over to intimate piano, and let the new drummer do... whatever she wants...)

    Liked the reaction, Hi-Spec is the more recent EP by the band. The maid clothes relate to the maid cafe scene, but predate Band-Maid by a year. Was it an inspiration - nobody has ever said so, but one wonders. The four musicians are from gacharic Spin, an outfit which has changed it's line-up a bit over the years but the core remains the same. Here's a couple of links to live performances from their 10th year tour show : Next Stage (with 2 drummers) : th-cam.com/video/1o2srnF-QfM/w-d-xo.html ; Juicy Beats (with two guitarists ) : th-cam.com/video/xVA28Qjp_Jo/w-d-xo.html . This link^^^, the almost-controlled chaos, is what sold me on this bunch of hysterical high school punks, it’s a show, crowd is under complete control, there’s two synth parts and only one player, who’s literally standing on the keyboards, guitar like mud, kids (literally high school performer members, I think they’d been in the band 2yrs by then, so 17yrold?) running around as if cheerleading, everybody yelling at everybody else, but catchy, written specifically for them by a member of BabyMetal, a even a smooth breakdown, so they can build you up and slam you harder next time. Too much fun, it mocks true metalers... then you try to play it and realize it’s not a throwaway piece either, not off the charts, but while grinning and bouncing? Love these crazy chicks

    Personally I find the arrangements from them are a mess. Way too much going on at any one time with the keyboards, guitars, high vocal notes while the death metal growl tries to overwhelm them all. That said, this one brings a smile to my face every time I see it. And super props to Hana (the Drummer) for her musical versatility. She plays more than drums, and she can and does sing lead when Fuki isn't around.
