Lilly shouldn't have to fire Heather. Heather came back to Genoa City with the expressed intention to get Daniel back, so the day Daniel agreed that they should put their family back together Heather should have tendered her resignation. Hell, she practically pounced on Daniel the minute Lilly left town. She also had Lucy's help when Lucy needed Heather to come to Daniel's to cook her her special grilled cheese sandwich.🤔 So Lilly shouldn't have to be a witness of their betrayal on a daily basis.
I think Daniel was stupid for taking Heather back ,not for fact that he wanted his family back but when he needed Heather most she told him to kick rocks and had another man does Daniel not realize that if he goes through another hard time that Heather would do it again. And your right Heather is lieing and has been for a long time

I agree they should both “high tail it outta town”. Take the sneaky daughter along as well. Phyllis is a great actor but she needs a new story line. No reason for her to continue to pine over Danny. I loved the time period when Phyllis was classy and was the owner of the Phoenix hotel.
I agree about Phyllis. She was a class act now she’s a teenage mean girl . Writers how about writing ? She’s a terrific actress in need of a great storyline
@joannewashington2934 Yes! - I agree! Phyllis should start a new hotel since that's where she shines as a diva running her own empire. It kept her involved in many character's lives and also kept her out of trouble since she was so busy.😊

I was thinking the same thing! It seems as if there are no cameras in any of the places where there should be, unless they want to use it in the storyline.

Genoa City is not in Illinois. It is set in a fictionalized version of Genoa City, Wisconsin, in which the city is portrayed as a metropolis. The show's creators, William and Lee Phillip Bell, had a vacation home in Lake Geneva and passed through Genoa City when visiting.
Oops I was thinking about Days of Our Lives because Salem is in Illinois. But the same holds true in Wisconsin which is also an at-will employment state. Thanks for pointing that out!

Hell, I'd be happy if they hired ANY men, it seems like there are 5 men in GC and 25 women, I understand the ratio of men to women is usually off on shows, but this is ridiculous.

I thought Genoa City was in Wusconsin, not Illinois. Nonetheless, Lily needs to get rid of them even if she had to go up against a labor board of some sort. They shouldn't get off scott free.

Illinois and Wisconsin aren't the only at-will states. I'm a research need like Belinda so searched through a few employment law websites and learned 49 of the 50 US states are at-will states, Montana being the exception. So yeah, Lily can drop kick both Heather and Daniel from CW. The only hindrance would be if she had them sign employment contracts detailing the terms of their employment, including length of service. In that case, the contract terms determine when and under what conditions they can be fired.
Lilly needs to suck it up and be perfessional she not the only one who has a say in that company

Most of the characters on Days have cheated. Case in point. Devon is one of the biggest cheaters in GC.

They need to rewrite a whole new storyline for Phyllis it a really decent guy even he could be a little wealthy and a good guy of character to come into Phyllis‘s life to help pick up the pieces and to help her recover from all that she has been through so she can become the person that she wants to be Instead of taking it even further, which I think is absolutely stupid. I think that they need somebody you know what they should bring a new lawyer in to fight the case and that should be her love interest that’s how it would develop! And where is sharing case by the way, that’s crazy too. Bring her back for Nick. That’s who I think should be with Sharon everybody’s been waiting for that!

I live in Wisconsin. Genoa City is a tiny town. The depictions of it are HIGHLY exaggerated. It Abbotts is that the writers misapply the law. They obviously don't use a legal consultant. It's just another evidence that JG and his writing team need to go

@kenken2472 when soaps first started, it appealed to women at home who weren't as savvy to world things as we are now. But now, mass communication allows us easy access to information that we learn from. We know that soaps are fictions, but they could be more realistic about it

Thank you Belinda for explaining the at-will employment thing. I've commented similarly in response to people saying Lily can't fire Heather or Daniel without cause. She most certainly can and so can a number of real employers throughout the US. Most US states are at-will employment states. So yeah, she doesn't need to give a reason at all, just "you're fired; clear out your offices." And if i were her, I'd actually have security accompany them as they're clearing their belongings and then escort them from the building.

Here is my take: Devon threatened Daniel's job, hinting he may fire him. Daniel should go to Lily with that information. He should tell her that he is not going to tolerate that from him.
Daniel should offer to resign on the condition he continues to work on his game, as a independent contractor, serving only Lily's company, whatever that company may be (her digression.)
Daniel should make it clear, he would be working remotely, and never come to her place of business unless summoned.
Lily should accept his offer, on the condition the contract is written up by Heather, who will represent Daniel. Since she cannot represent both Daniel and Lily, Heather will need to resign from Chancellor Winters first.
Problems solved.
Can they take Danny’s Mom with them until they get a better story for her? I am so done with watching her behave like a teenage girl rubbing all over men and displaying so little self-respect.
