Aan de ene kant is het natuurlijk mooi hoe men probeert met dit soort liedjes om een ideaalbeeld van de maatschappij mee te geven aan mensen, maar tegelijkertijd kan te groot geloof in een soort ideaal juist ook negatief werken omdat het simpelweg niet overeenkomt met de realiteit. Als je bijvoorbeeld zingt dat iemand kan worden wat hij wil, dan klinkt dit natuurlijk heel mooi, maar ontkent het duidelijk de realiteit. De meeste mensen kunnen niet niet perse worden wat ze willen. Veel meer mensen hebben niet het talent om te kunnen worden wat ze willen. Vrij veel mensen willen bijvoorbeeld dokter worden. Echter moet je daar vrij intelligent voor moet zijn (top 10% intelligentie?). Dit betekent dat je zingt dat mensen iets kunnen bereiken wat 90% niet kan bereiken. Nog minder kans hebben mensen die prof voetballer willen worden. Dit kan echt minder dan 1% van de mensen worden. Dan ben je eigenlijk tegen 99% van de mensen aan het liegen.
Het zijn natuurlijk goed bedoelde leugens, maar toch kan het schadelijk zijn omdat het juist zorgt voor teleurstelling die voorkomen had kunnen worden.
