This is the first Tool I ever heard, and since then got hooked. Paul D'Amour delivers an aggressive, raw and punchy bassline that grabs you since the first chord and doesn't let go. BEsides this being a great song, this was a clear reference to me on great sounding bass early on, and still is!

HOW does he DO it?!? One of you great bass gurus out there needs to break it down for us padawan learners, and in elaborate detail! Kello sir you have covered many more complicated or ornate bass parts than this, but to me this feels like a masterpiece. Just wow, man. Wow.
I think its so amazing because you can tell kello has prefected this song and the little details here and there are really pleasing to see/hear.

Always love seeing notifications for your uploads. It would be super cool if you could start putting information about the equipment used, signal chain, pedalboard, eq settings, etc in the description. I'm always curious to know what settings you use per song.
This song is all about finding the right rhytm and you nail it, as always....so precise. Also the part where he attacks d note increasing the volume little by little was soo well done, your starting point so low, congrats

Hands down the best Sober bass cover on YT. Seeing it played this way makes me understand why nobody else even comes close to matching the original tone and sound. Can’t wait to see you do some of the songs off their newer Fear Inoculum album. I’d love to see you do Descending!!!
