She came out as a teen in the late 80s just like her friend Shanice who also didn’t quite get her due. But record labels unfortunately didn’t know how to market pure talent like this.

One of my favourite jams from Tracie. She did well here, but I think she was distracted by the audience's lack of enthusiasm. Better choreography could've helped. This House was a Top 10 hit, so I don't know if this was before it hit the charts.

The first song she performed, "Save Your Love", was the song people knew because that was the first single from the album and the one being played on the radio (and was also a top 10 R&B hit). "This House" was the second single that hadn't had much radio play yet so most of the audience was unfamiliar with it.

@@rashadhaughton22 I later reckoned that they were fuming because they wanted her to do Tender Kisses or Love Me instead of another uptempo song. Apollo's audience loves a good ballad, so Tracie's manager should've known better to have her perform two uptempo numbers.
