So happy to see she’s doing better. She’s still young. She’ll be fifty next hear so she’s the second oldest orca in captivity now. Still wish we could release her but we don’t know where in Iceland her pod is. We don’t even know if they’re around still. Plus, there aren’t any seaside sanctuaries so Seaworld is Katina’s home.
Yeah it is sad. I wish Katina could be sent back to the ocean. We could ship her to Keiko’s old seapen in Iceland since she was born there, but the CEOs Seaworld won’t let her go. Somebody offered $1,000,000 dollars to the CEO of Seaworld to take Tilikum (back when he was alive) to a sanctuary and they said no. It’s upsetting I know. So yeah, it is basically abuse for Katina.
