Watching videos from 5 years ago. Can we have some things other than desserts AGAIN? Don't know your audience now but we are all here. Congrats on the new company. I subscribed. This happens to be my favorite guilty present. All my girls know my soft spot. Mom used to make it too. There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "just use my hands" ... The Hash brown egg and veggie cups were genius. I will probably try this (with the wife's help) for my family thanksgiving breakfast! Would love to have more ideas for Christmas or what ever. Breakfast or Brunch ideas. Cute ideas.

I have used this recipe a million times as my children were growing up. I had to tweek it a little to keep me interested in making them. I put peanut butter in with the marshmallows as I was melting it, and made a whole different taste to them. They loved both. I've even sprinkled melted chocolate over the peanut butter ones to make another different taste. All are delicious and never got a veto on any one I made. Thanks for posting Joy. Such a great teacher!

@@paulinehyder4728 Yes, maybe a little more than 1/2 cup. I just use a spoon and get a big scoop. They are delicious like that.

I loved homemade Rice Krispies Treats since I was in preschool, but nobody in my family bothered to teach me how to make it. After watching this video I just did this recipe PERFECTLY in under 10 minutes.
Thanks for teaching this former latchkey kid, now adult, how to make an all-time classic after all these years.

A few ways of making the treats look special without changing the flavor is to put a layer of sprinkles in the bottom of the pan before pressing in the mixture. Or you can even mix them in. You can also press them into small individual molds for a special look. To facilitate unmolding, line the mold with plastic wrap before buttering.

[I stopped eating margarine soon after it came out when I learned it is so close to plastic in its molecular make up! Use butter or oil. ( Processed cheese is only a few molecules away from plastic BTW). We can't kid ourselves that any of these man-made processed homogenized dairy products are in the least bit healthful.]

I admit, I was taken back when I received this notification that Miss Stephanie posted a recipe for Rice Krispies Treats because they're not at all complicated, they're not baked, and they're extremely common in the U.S.---so much so that they can be bought readymade and packaged in the snack aisles. But...from reading the comments, my impression may be the exception to the rule. I have to remember that not everyone on TH-cam is familiar with Rice Krispies Treats.
