You are correct, that was the first aquaman with the hand hook... I have both waves, I just missed 3 of them, and the figures from the JLA that came after can be placed alongside the Total Justice line, they practically reused parts of the sculpted bodies, I really liked this reviews from old lines... PS: I still have the ripped card boxes of some of them.
"Total Justice" was the middle child between the much loved "Super Powers" line and the more advanced DC Direct figures that were coming. After TJ, most of the DC action figures in the stores were from the animated Batman, Superman and Justice League lines. As limited as they were, TJ was a very good representation of the Post-Crisis/Zero Hour DCU.
Totally Extreme Armored Justice! I remember being drawn to this line for its character choices but hating the way the poses and articulation made them look. I probably should have gotten classic Superman. I ended up buying Superman Blue from the JLA line, which was just a repaint of Superman with a different head.
A few years after the line came out, I was in the toy aisle at Walmart while my mom grocery shopped and I found the black Batman with the fractal armor loose in a box of plushies. It wasn’t one someone had opened because it was all beat up and played with. I asked my mom if I could keep it and she said yes. I cut out a scrap of black fabric and glued it to him for a cape. I loved that Batman
Had all these. But I replaced Batman with Crusader Batman from Legends of Batman and Batman Returns Robin. Big challenge is getting these to stand up. The forced posing makes it hard to keep these balanced. Spent a good 30-45 minutes trying to get all of these on the shelf when I had them.
Another great video! Btw: They spelled "Kyle Rayner" wrong. Despite that, this series has my favorite figure of all time - Parallax. Looking very much to your Series 2 video!
Oh, wow... Got that Robin when the line was first released and I *never* realized that the ends came off of that murder staff! (BTW, that Aquaman had the armor changed to gold during the second production run)
I was a HUGE fan of this toy line overall but not keen on the "fractal tech gear" or 5 POA but for their time, they were actually very nice. I continued to collect the line even after it was technically cancelled the first time (and rebranded as "JLA" and sold exclusively via comic shops), all the way through it's final cancellation with the last wave being a Toys-R-Us exclusive. By the way, the Wonder Woman figure was extremely cool but way out of scale to the rest of the line. She towered over all the other males figures in the line (with the exception of Darkseid and Despero).
What a trip down memory lane. I had the Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Robin out of this series. However, I threw all the armor away except Kyle Raynor’s.
I remember this line in the 90s. I had the Darkseid, Robin, and Green lantern. All I could find. And dam they look tiny compared to a DCUC figure. Where's Superman?
Never mind hook-hand Aquaman, is that the first comic-based Batman figure not to wear the underpants? Also, it's a real shame that claw grabber isn't removable as without it that would be one of the best Darkseid figures ever.
First time watching Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice I recall thinking "did Flash just pop out of that portal from the future wearing Fractle Tech armor?!?" 😐😑😯😒🙁😔😩
Hey Brad it's me CM entertainment daily also known as turtle time and galactic geek I wanted to go back to DC comics because I grew up with DC comics so now I'm the Batcave bunker new intro is the teen Titans theme song outro is the Batman 60s theme
I do really like this robin figure, Very Comic accurate aside from the cape, though Kenner/Hasbro Would Later ReRelease this figure in their JLA line that gives him a more comic accurate cape
The tech gear for the league almost looks like tenth metal(element x) from dark nights metal event, when Batman faced off against barbatos's evil batmen army at the end of the graphic novel riding a 🃏 🐉😅
Am I the only person on the planet who pronounces the "Aqua" of Aquaman as "ACKwa", not "ARKwa"? Is it 'cos I'm British? Meanwhile, I always despised Kyle Rayner's costume. All the GLs have too much black, but proportionally there's barely any green on Kyle's suit. Even the symbol is half-black. And why is the chest WHITE? What is its shape supposed to represent? A mug with the handle on the right side? Hideous.

I couldn’t agree more. 🙂

I like the longer videos. I completely understand how shorter ones are more TH-cam algorithm friendly, but I enjoyed this one, too.
Love the introduction and History.I have a few of the Kenner Total justice figures.
All these figures look amazing. Especially darkseid, he's probably one of my favorite out of these figures

Yes the artwork for the packaging was done by the great Jon Bogdanove, great video as always, and greeting from México!!
Instablaster.
One thing that I could say about these figures is: they know how to lift and they never skip leg day. Lol
I have all of these packed away in a box, wave 1 & 2. I found Parallax but never opened it. Thanks for the stroll down nostalgia road.
Had all these. But I replaced Batman with Crusader Batman from Legends of Batman and Batman Returns Robin.

HAHAHA... me too, I did the exact same thing with the batman and robin, great minds think alike
Love the old school figure videos man!
I have a copy of the Aquaman figure signed by Jason Momoa from when I met him at KC Comicon
Another great video! Btw: They spelled "Kyle Rayner" wrong. Despite that, this series has my favorite figure of all time - Parallax. Looking very much to your Series 2 video!

That seemed to be a very common thing. The armour wasn’t super popular in thinking.
Brad The DC Universe Geek yeah but being a DC fan in the 90’s, we had to take what we could get. Kinda feels that way today, too, come to think of it.
This line was awesome!!!!!!! Great figures and loved that armor!
Very nice, I love that this is such a time capsule.
After the 1989 batman toys came out all toys had to have gimmicky suits accesorys or play feature
Love the quality and presentation of your videos Brad. Very well made and very informative. Keep em comin.
Loving your videos. I had some of these but in the JLA line that didn’t have these accessories but had stands.
I have my darkseid holding aquaman off the edge of the shelf with his claw
Excelente, thanks por capsule time!
I remember this line in the 90s. I had the Darkseid, Robin, and Green lantern. All I could find. And dam they look tiny compared to a DCUC figure. Where's Superman?
Yes you are right about the Aquaman hook hand. I have the GL and superman Kenner Total Justice.
That Robin face at 5:08 is just creepy
I feel like he's about to offer me Tranya
I had most of these lol this line was one of the most badass things as a kid in the 90s
Great video man Kenner and DC made some of the coolest toys.
Never mind hook-hand Aquaman, is that the first comic-based Batman figure not to wear the underpants?
Also, it's a real shame that claw grabber isn't removable as without it that would be one of the best Darkseid figures ever.
I have the Aquaman I got it from middle school at a prize store thing we had I never knew what it was from till now
The weapon thing that comes with green lantern looks like the weapon that came with a Star Wars Kanan Jarrus 3.75” figures not too long ago
I habe the aqua man with the black right arm and I found a variant with a gold...wonder if it's worth anything
Aaah, 90's action figures.
The only time where the figures began to _decrease_ in value after the decade ended.
That's funny, I only had this Flash from the series also. Can't quite remember if I had the armor or not.
God, I had all of these. GL my fav.
Love your channel I am subscribed!
The sculpt of Robin looks like a sculpt of Matt Damon with black hair.
I have Green Lantern and Flash. Great toys! I found an Aquaman in original package at GREAT price! Probably will get it.
Hey looking back now doesn’t that armor kinda look like the Neca Vs Predator Batman armor?
Superman, Flash, Hawkman and Darkseid were my favorite.
I love Darkseid, even with a chicken grabber on his hand.
First time watching Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice I recall thinking "did Flash just pop out of that portal from the future wearing Fractle Tech armor?!?" 😐😑😯😒🙁😔😩
I just thought, was this the first multi-character DC Comics line since Super Powers? What about Toy Biz DC Super Heroes?
Loved this series when it came out, still have my Green Lantern and Darkseid

Have u tried doing a head swap with a modern body?
Can you link the music
Thank you!!!! I remember seeing these in KAYBEE
Love this
Collected all these. Still got them. Actually might sell them one day soon
This was such an EXTREME!!! figure line.
I never found Flash or Darkseid. Had the rest regret selling them... were they hard to find?
Are you going to keep the card backs?
Where is Parallax?
I want to see you do the Batman animated series line retro review.
I found all of these at a garage sale for 5 bucks
Ive got these from childhood
You said Wally west
Cool
The flash is awesome
I have some of those
The tech gear for the league almost looks like tenth metal(element x) from dark nights metal event, when Batman faced off against barbatos's evil batmen army at the end of the graphic novel riding a 🃏 🐉😅
Men that Robin headsculpt sucks
I still have my Total Justice Batman
This best batman figures fot royal comic face
Time stamps??
If only that claw on Darkseid was removable! Ugh

It looks like it really hurts to be a Total Justice figure
You rushed too much opening the Flash.
These were horrible figures.
