Hey Mark, good chatting at the ramp on Saturday. Maybe the poor man's lobster - or more to the point - eating the alternative - had something to do with the sickness suffered! Hope your mate is feeling ok soon.. That BC is a nice looking boat in the person. Seems like it goes plenty hard enough too.
Hey Glenn nice chatting to you also! yeh I think the way we cooked it didn't help either hahhaha. yeah she's a good honest rig and it's holding up to our mediocre skills. should be back in 2 weeks. planning to troll from Batemans bay to Bermagui, then back!👌
Depending on what for and why you want to run 4 blade props? Are you thinking of pulling a couple or skiers out of the water in the coming months? It all comes down to the pitch mate. If you're running 19 pitch 3 blade and just going to swap out for a 19 four blade I can tell you now you won't be going flat maggot full trimmed like in your clip. You'll potentially only encounter the rev limiter alarm.. I'm running 4 blade props on my twins, it has reasonable poor top end speed but as a compromise it is good for trawling, better handling in a follow sea and potentially less stress on the gearing etc, mine has brilliant hole shot but I'm running 4 blades because my horsepower is on the bottom end scale for what the boat is rated for therefore it was sluggish with 3 blades getting on plane with 450lts of fuel 3 hefty guys and gear. Looks like you already have good hole shot and good top end and revs are just under maximum with 3 people on board, so guess I'm asking why? what do you hope to achieve with a 4 blade prop? You've probably already outlayed your money but on good thing to consider when investing in new props in 4 blade is going up 1 or 2 pitch sizes to what your current 3 blade props are, your boat is only light, Don't think I recall seeing many ally boats in the 6.8 range, with 200 horse's and upwards with 4 blade props. Should of bought a second hand one at half the price or borrowed one to try. Anyway good luck with it, well done on the vid, hopefully you get the results you are looking for, keep us all posted 👍 Clip on your prop change out to see what type of hub you chose thanks🤙
Hey yes it goes pretty well, it's about ability to hold lower planing speeds offshore. I made the change once and I was very happy. If it doesn't work out, will change back immediately. All very good points you raise and it's certainly already pretty good
@@BaitBallin there's a masked youtuber called crooked pilothouse, who travels from Florida to the Bahama islands, he tried it for those same reasons and found it was less speed, more fuel
Can't beat a crusher fella..730HT with a 250hp Susie..best I got was 87kms ..that's serious in a big boat..with dive gear also..enjoy that boat..they are a awsum boat and wouldn't touch anything else
Yep, you need to blow them cob webs out of it, a good extended high speed run, with some heat in it is even better. Cant believe the fishing here is better than there? Why arent you catching them snapper and kingy's as I see others do. Location? Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I wish I could have my rig, dropped in Australia or NZ, all the time. Im in NE Florida, and the fishing is far from exotic. I wish it was.
this time of the year, water is only 14 degrees and the fishing is very very quiet. its a dead time, the southern bluefin tuna are normally within striking distance coming up from the south, but they are still around 150km out to sea at the moment. so it's a waiting game unfortunately
@@BaitBallin my thing has always been, ''most action possible'', closest to the DOCK! There's gotta be some fun fish around, without needing a long ride or a fighting belt?
@@BaitBallin Hi man! Waht would you recomand me for a comercial boat? 250 apx suzuki or a 225 bf honda xdu? I am a turist guide and every day i drive like 2 hour with my boat, i need that reliability, i will make a lots of hours. The seller present that two motors for the boat. Thanks!
Hey man all good. With the Suzuki must be the lean burn model, they also make or used to a non lean burn which really chew the juice (in the 250hp). But a great engine regardless. The Honda's are super smooth and quiet (even more than Suzuki), just like the car engines they are generally based on. I don't think you can honestly go wrong with either. Suzuki will offer better value for money, Honda will be more refined, quiet and smooth. Both will last and serve you well
You guys are a really good salesman.
Not here to sell anything. In fact the opposite. Plenty of fake boat reviews out there for that.
Those yachties would be loving you. Nice rig.

You should play with the tilt while your going full throttle and find that sweet spot
yeah definitely can get a bit more out of it. does 70 when in perfect spot
Haha Peter in the berth! The BIG 200hp smashing it.
Hahaha yeah I know 😂😂

Did you try the 4 blade yet? How did it compare?
@@christiankraus7308 I have not tried a 4 blade. Kinda happy with my zuki 3 blade prop.
Yeah the 3 blade is good. Due to covid haven't been able to get it done anyway, so looks like 3 stays on
Amazing hull-shot...saving up for the 560C; 150HP
yep that an excellent combo, the additional torque of the 150 makes a big difference on that hull over the 140s!
Think 560 is max at 140 odd my 615 c is 150 rated max hp
@@nickking8317 560C later models are 150HP. 👌🏼

Yeah it's a good strategy, some good water further north. Next trip will be up there, warm enough for yellowfin still. Next weekend
@@BaitBallin I'll be watchin. I watch all I can of Aus. & NZ alloy'ists.
Hahaha yeah, one day in next few years I will have a larger glass boat and keep an alloy trailer boat.
Looking to replace 15' YAMAHA 150 4T on Defiance 220 Admiral Pilothouse...looks like it has some gallop eh?
Mine is propped for torque and offshore work, top speed of 69kmh for me is fine. Gets up and out of the hole easily with any amount of weight on board
what pitch prop are you using i have twin 200apxws
Will be in comments somewhere. I've sold the boat now so can't remember
Ima little hard of hearing i didnt get your top speed?
Gee now your testing memory. I think with 3 blade it was about 64, with 4 blade it increased to 72kph roughly AND improved hole shot!
What speed are you getting at WOT with the Suzuki 200?
67kph there, max 69.
My Honda 150 on a 6m glass boat (non hard top) did 80kph.
