The officer rolls up to an SUV with the tire off, the trunk lid and the door open, and as he's walking up to this strange scenario, a supposed bystander takes off quickly. Look at this from my perspective. How would you react? Is the "bystander" leaving because he doesn't want to get involved with police, maybe because he's had a few? Do you secure the scene with a distressed vehicle? People don't give cops credit nearly enough and they never know what they are getting into. The officers can't PIT at high speed, because it's extremely dangerous. Some agencies set a limit of 35 miles per hour (mph) for PIT attempts. Going faster can lead to over-rotation of the suspect vehicle.

How these cops can understand anything on that scratchy radio, is a miracle. Not more than 20 words did I catch in 24 minutes.

@@iloveTRUMP It was hard to tell but it looked to me the suspect shot at the tanker and not the cab. But if you dig deeper into this one, yes, it started over a pickup truck and suspicious activity. However, it ended with a guy, most likely a convicted felon, with a gun. Obviously his actions of shooting at a tanker truck and then shooting a trooper showed he was a danger to society. He would of eventually hurt or killed someone.

Why would they shoot at the tanker truck? Did they think it would explode like a video game or something? I know we are not dealing with the brightest individuals here but firing shots at civilians is NOT going to make the police want to chase you less.
I am also kind of surprised the police did not crack down harder after they shot at the tanker. I know the police have to deal with but I would think that shooting a gun out the window at civilians would warrant stopping them ASAP.

Didn't understand why 1st Officer didn't PIT when the road was clear.
2nd Trooper did great "bounce" PIT, and then stayed with it even after being shot 🙏👏. Thank Goodness ALL those Officers were there so quick. Glad he was ok and recovered.

The officers can't PIT at high speed, because it's extremely dangerous. Some agencies set a limit of 35 miles per hour (mph) for PIT attempts. Going faster can lead to over-rotation of the suspect vehicle.
