I never understood why they couldn’t find a way to bring Robin back like Hook. They could’ve given Regina her happy ending too! She was after all the best character in the entire show.
They had to have a major death to keep the stakes high. That's how world-building works in stories. Not everyone gets a happy ending, even if they deserve to. And not everyone's happy ending consists of having a romantic partner. Regina got her happy ending in s7 when she became the Good Queen.
It's a theme on the show I guess,naming babies after a dead person,Henry was named after Regina's father,Neal was named after Henry's father/Rumpelle's son,now Robin named after her daddy.

I just couldn't handle my emotions when I saw Roland here! The idea that he's now an orphan just pains me! I just hope he comes back to Storybrooke so Regina can be his new mom! He needs a parent! I know the merry men care about him but I don't know if they would be able to care for him like Robin has.
It's actually bittersweet. You're reminded that person is gone but you also See the good qualities in someone else. Some can handle it, others not so much.

@@peacendpola23 Everyone on the show had an almost death situation that they were saved from. Robin being stabbed with a sword and healed 10 minutes later can't be compared to Hook dying and everyone going to the Underworld for an entire arc to save him.
I’ll never forgive the writers for killing him off. Even if the actor had to leave, couldn’t they find a different way for Robin to leave without dying?

In my opinion, I don’t think he’s coming back. Not trying to be negative but Zelena named her daughter “Robin” and usually they name babies after characters that aren’t coming back. Especially in OUAT. Plus it’s already confusing as it is imagine having 2 Robin Hoods on the show at the same time. Also, Roland left storybrooke the episode after that so if Robin is coming back, why sent Roland back? It doesn’t make sense. So I really don’t think he's going to come back.

Sadly no. As the apprentice said "not even an author can bring back the dead" When he brought hook back after being killed, it was a fiction. But Robin and Hook died in the world, like his father. So bringing them back was beyond the power of the author.
I love Emma a lot. And I think the Charmings are great characters but I think it’s stupid that they get to have their happy endings and then Regina doesn’t. When Emma loses Hook, she gets him back but Regina can’t have her happy end with Robin. It’s so stupid and idiotic and probably one of the reasons I felt this show started to lack

This scene broke my heart. Why couldn’t the writers give Regina her happy ending. They’ve brought others back from the dead, why couldn’t they bring robin. Not only did they kill him, they erased him so Regina won’t see him in the afterlife 😢😢 and having to look at zelena’s baby everyday and see him, knowing it should’ve been her and robins kid. Ugh they did her wrong
