    Would love to know how these compare to the original K series? I am wanting to get a new monitor set up for my band and I currently own a single K10. I love it but I want a matching set. Can't decide if I should get two K10.2s, another used K10 or just go to the CP8 or even 12 as it's the same weight as the K10.

    Looking at the QSC CP8. I'm liking the CP8's better mostly because the highs sound much more natural and in perspective. The highs sound very hyped and almost harsh in the EV's. Thanks for doing this, I'll check out your other video now.

    Great video but you had the QSC set for external sub attachment. Should it have been set to Default or Dance to obtain full/better effect as a stand alone unit?

    Hi Noel. Would you be able to fix the video in the room also compare Zxa1 and CP 8 to music like Classic, Romantic piano, Guitar instrument music? Thank you very much. Videos are perfect. thanks.
    Would you recommend me QSC or EV? QSC is going into the clip or EV?
    Higher and medium frequencies are better for QSC or EV? Thank you for your response

    • @djnoelcolon
      @djnoelcolon  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend the QSC. The QSC also has a live setting in the contour switch. I could do a another comparison but I already know the QSC is going to sound better so the point would be mute.

    Hey. I just got them. and they are amazing. no comparison to ev. .. QSC cp8 has that K8 original sound punch that can handle the bass . I had the Ev and blew out the woofers twice. .. 1000 watts of power in a compact Box. ..

    • @djnoelcolon
      @djnoelcolon  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edgar Ruiz wow, you really pushed the EV’s. I have not blown mine since I only used them for small parties and ceremonies. The CP8 so far only used them for the test to see if they at least kept up with the EV and was happy to have gotten an even better sound for the money.

    hi guys,I had a EV 360 with Allen heath 12 and want to change all to QSC,i have the QSC touch mix8,which sound good ,just have a lot problems with player..is jumping song to song on his own and make me really problems to play right song on live show performance, when I can't wait, just after talk press and go and also the player doesn't start immediately, so I have a problem to sincronize it with my stand alone lights case.Now im on decision what speakers to order..if the QSC K8.2 or QSC CP8.Can somebody give some advice plz?Thank u all, xx

    QSC 10.2 is a no brainer for live sound with at least a 1000w subwoofer. No Sub, = you are charging too much to DJ. I run 2 QSC k10's one is a 10.2. I will be buying a second 10.2 soon. I run a 15" 1750 watt EV active sub that I have been using for 10 years. Replaced the driver with a Peavey Low Max 4000 watt max driver and will never look back. K12's/.2s are awesome but heavy if you work a lot and have to carry them a long way, or up stairs, that I do sometimes.

    QSC's have a punchy bass but the also have piercing highs. See if you still like them after 5 hours of music at 100 to 110db. The EV's are the "clear" winner since they have a balanced sound and intelligibility, which make them ideal for live vocals, karaoke, speeches and DJ events. The EV's will also shine with certain types of recorded music like Jazz, Classical, Opera, etc. The QSC's have more bass, but who cares since you're going to use a subwoofer anyway?

      Thanks for taking the time. I have an original K8 and a pair of original K12s for my sax with backing tracks gigs, but with bad discs in my lower back, I had to find something lighter. I schlepped one of my K12s into Guitar Center to compare backing tracks sound with the CP12. I think the K12 sounds a smidge richer and has more power, but the CP sounded phenomenal for the price and came pretty darn close in deep richness-- and for 12 lb lighter, and the PRICE?! No brainer. Just fantastic.
