    A coffee can with vent holes in the lower perimeter and six charcoal briquettes will cook a three course meal in half an hour and if you run out of charcoal anything that burns will work in a pinch.

    I am wondering if you hav ever checked out pot cooking? Taking a stainless steel pasta drainer pot and using it as a base to cook. It seems like an inexpensive way to make a stove especially if you can find the pot second hand at a thrift store. Holes for ventilation built in!

    I think it would be a great item for car camping but more so for at a big out location. That way you could also store some fuel and if you don't want to build a fire to cook, this would be they way to do it.

    Nice review. I've watched yours and one other review and mine has just arrived. I can endorse everything you say.
    However I found the piezo a bit awkward to get at. I have a Bulin T4 where the Piezo folds up to use, so was surprised that the igniter on this model was so tucked way, as in your video.
    Had a closer look at mine and the igniter button swings out for ignition and folds in after use. Neat.
    This is a superb stove. It is built to last and has been thoughtfully designed. It takes everything from the smallest mug to the largest pan or wok and it goes from the mildest of simmers to full on burner. Might be heavy, but beyond backpacking this is an exceptional all round burner. 👍

      Yeah i noticed that too the Piezo is kind of hard to get to. I really like mine

    Maybe if you could use bulk size propane?

    • @davidhawkins847
      @davidhawkins847 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should be able to use propane but you would need one of the adapters shown on previous videos. There is the possibility that burning propane is a little temperamental as it kind of depends on the jet. I've done it with a different stove but had to pay more attention because the flow would go up and down a bit. Could have been the adapter or the cold but it did work with minimal issues.
      Don't know if I would use the bulk tank but you could if you're setup for it. Pressures might be a bit much though when directly on the tank. A 1lb bottle would be safer probably.

      yes

    • @davidf4897
      @davidf4897 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Iridium242 Yes, it's windproof, but maintains the right distance between pot and flame to get maximum heat spread.

    I don't understand why all the metric terminology, liter, grams, etc. Love your reviews, but I can only relate to ounces, pounds, and quarts. You're an American as am I. I wish you would avoid the metric. Or include the standard measurment with it.

    • @Iridium242
      @Iridium242  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I said 1 liter or 4 cups but sometimes its what is given by the manufacturer, I try to convert when I can but sometimes i might forget.

      @@Iridium242 I'm from UK and I'm old enough to think in Imperial Measurement (Standard measurement in USA) before Metric.However my children think in metric units. It's important to include both on a TH-cam channel. The audience is international and inter generational. We need both.
