Very brilliant presentation. I viewed this video to see if I was on track with my Daisy as pictured on my photo and looks like everything I have been doing with her since her rescue 2 years ago. Thank you for sharing this.
My poor Border Collie has a lot of matted hair on the rear and hind legs. I think I will need a professional groomer to work on him. Is it ok to shave the mats off? I don't want his coat to get ruined. Thanks!
If the mats are againts the skin then I would recommend a once off shave. Thereafter you can start fresh and maintain the coat with weekly brushing. If you shave the coat regulary then it will affect the conditions of the coat, but a once off will be fine.
Hi @zodski5239, thank you for your feedback. Ohana is such a sweety and amazing to work with. I used the Coat King Rake 14-blade Undercoat Rake, and my slicker brush is from Pawise. My comb I purchased from my local vet store. I like using Andis brushes and blades. Please give me a shout-out if you have any other questions😀

Thank you for your comment, and Daisy is indeed fortunate to have you taking such good care of her.

When grooming our border Faé first get the hosepipe and ketchup as she generally rolled in pooh of some sort 😂😂
As groomers, we often come across unusual items in a dog's coat. Once, I even discovered a button.
Thank you for the video, very informative! Ohana is such a good girl! Just curious on the brand name of the brushes/combs you use?
