Tough year to predict...but I guess that makes it a good year to watch as well! T beauty of the Premier League! Still, I need to get back to my best next season. Who's winning it in 23/24? Who will be the surprise packages? And who is going down? Let me know below!
i got 85 points this year which is my worst ever.
City win again of course 😂 this is our dynasty! Liverpool will get back to top 4 along w arsenal and newcastle
Man City to win. Forest will be surprise package or go down I also think Man U will be good. and going down will be Luton, Everton and Bournemouth
I got 83 points
City title winners, Burnley surprise, Wolves, Luton, Sheff U down.
Here's a weird stat, this is the first time since 17/18 none of the three promoted teams went straight back down, but in addition to that, in both seasons the team that won the championship (Newcastle and Fulham) finished 10th, the team that finished 2nd in the championship (Brighton and Bournemouth) finished 15th and the team that won the playoffs (Huddersfield and Forest) finished 16th.
That's actually a pretty insane coincidence lol, not sure why your comment doesn't have more upvotes.

To get Villa bang on in 7th is fantastic considering how topsy turvy their season was. Started so badly too

My son recommended you to me when he was 10 (ish)... we went to the Wembley Cup etc and you were a massive part of our lives together whilst he grew up... He's now left college and has a girlfriend etc etc so I barely see him naturally... But, I will never forget your impact Spencer.. I'll always be a supporter of yours and eternally grateful... 👊

100% believe Leicester wouldn’t be In the position they’re in if the World Cup wasn’t done. Got to feel for them.

They did good business the manager just wasn't good enough
Villa getting European football isn’t that surprising, just needed a decent manager.
Manager of the season for me is De Zerbi. Came in mid way through the season and has looked every bit as good as Potter, who let’s not forget was very highly regarded at Brighton. He’s been a revelation. Team of the season is Arsenal. Nobody expected them to fight for the title and to hold the lead for as long as they did is really impressive. Fans may be disappointed to have lost out at the end but from where they’ve come from last season it’s a huge improvement.
Unai Emery has to be manager of the season, saved Villa and put them in Europe

Unai Emery deserves it more. Brighton was still in a good position and had a good manager before. It looked really bad for villa but Emery pulled through. He got more points than De Zerbi with less games.
Even better than potter was
bunch of idiots above me. Eddie Howe is far and away at number 1. Hes been doing it the whole season especially with that very average squad. De Zerbi and Emery granted have been amazing since they came in but not close to the significance of Howe

This year was crazy, a lot of surprises like bournemouth Brentford Brighton so high, Chelsea and Tottenham finishing so low. So it’s natural that you didn’t do so well this year , you go again next year.

Great vid Spenzema!! I know you mentioned it in a joking way, but I’d love a full breakdown video of Chelsea’s season. It almost didn’t seem real when looking at their score lines. Not only did they underperform, the LACK of goals they scored was so bizarre.

Think people were saying for 1 and a half seasons that if Brighton started scoring goals theyd get europe but even then i think we thought deepdown itd be at best conference league

You’ve lied or miscounted, it’s not possible to get an odd score. It should net out to 0 with all the positive and negative scores

As a stat i think this one is quite interesting.
Brentford are the only team to do the double over Man City this season (quite an acheivment)

Great video as always! For next season will you consider predicting other things: like golden boot winner, predict a dark horse (like in the WC, but you won’t count any points for it just a HM)?
One narrative that annoys me is that Arsenal fell off a cliff but United have always been “there or thereabouts” as you said. In the last 9 seasons, Arsenal have finished ahead of United 6 times, whereas United have finished ahead of Arsenal just 3 times. United have never really challenged for the title in that time either whereas Arsenal have twice.
yh but if u actually look at the finishes after wengers tenure arsenal hasn’t been top 4 once man u has finished 2 twice and 3rd once and have won europa league and been in the champions league as well as europa league semifinal champions league ro16 and quarters with more money to spend

would say you had a shocker but like you said who even expected brighton, and chelsea, as the two biggest examples to have the seasons they did. i know my prediction before the season would’ve been pretty similar.
although idk about you predicting villa to get 7th tho. cuz that was with gerrard 😂👀..
i’m actually yet to check my own prediction. literally haven’t looked at it since i wrote it, and worried to see what i put 😭. have a feeling it may be very similar to yours or even worse..
also how come you don’t predict the golden boot, golden glove, and the top assistor? would be another fun thing to see you try to predict.

I got 70 this year, biggest howlers being Leicester (9th), Fulham (17th) and Chelsea (5th). Had both Leeds and Southampton going down at least and also had wolves, forest and city bang on
Got 82 points this year, so not far off from you. Coming off my best every season last year (58), it wasn't great to see. But this year has been crazy!
Haven’t watched spencer in years yet i still find myself coming back to watch this video every single time

I predicted everton to finish 4th, what a mare from me however I did get nottingham forrest, crystal palace and man city in the right places so 3 out of 20🤣🤣🤣🤣

I got 66 points which Im very happy with. Mainly because I got Southampton and Fulham pretty much bang on

This is the fourth time all of the promoted teams stayed up, the previous times were
17/18, 11/12 & 01/02.
Using your system i got 70 points, fulham chelsea and leicester i did poorly on. Did well on brighton putting them 8th and mid table was pretty alright
I got 100 points lmao considering I got 52 last season. My biggest mistakes were predicting Newcastle 13th and Leicester 7th thought Leicester's squad would still be great despite Schmeichel leaving.
I had a good prediction list this year getting only 58 points off. My worst prediction like everyone else was chelsea, I said they will be 4th only to be horribly wrong but lets be honest no one predicted that they could finish 12th. This shows money can't buy titles always.
looking at their form at the end of last season & also since im just naturally biased against them, i jokingly put chelsea down as 10th cos i just didn't believe that Boehly would invest the same way Abramovich would.
I was right for the wrong reasons but im well pleased with it XD
My worst yet, 80 points and only City bang on! Did have Brighton only 1 place off in 7th which helped me recover from having Villa 16th!

I got only Crystal Palace right. Though I predicted Arsenal in top3 and newcastle in top6.
Im pretty sure brighton gonna strugle next year, europa league and if they loose both mcalister and caceido. Theres just so many times you can get away by signing unown gems, other clubs gonna copy them and maybe go for the same players.

I only was right with Nottingham Forest surviving the drop,Brentford being a top 10 caliber team.

I picked Fulham,Bournemouth and Everton(my surprise pick for relegation).
i did this with my predictions and came too 64 points... not as bad as i expected, helped that i got forest wolves and villa bang on weirdly. what helped was my optimism of brentford and brighton predicting brentford 10th and brighton 8th respectively. did predict bournemouth and fulham to go down and chelsea 5th aswell so that was my downfall.
I got 75 not awful but not great. Some bang on but got ruid by brentford, leicester, west ham etc

Shoutout best owner of the season Todd Bowley. The amount of money he is willing to waste shows true dedication. Also got rid of Tuchel which us Chelsea fans totally wanted him gone despite winning us the champions league two years ago

I won't lie 84 isn't that bad considering there were 1 or 2 decent predictions in there (arsenal top 4, villa 7th, leeds going down), it was such an unpredictable season in every way

Tough year, I finished with 78, but only got Crystal Palace right
well happy i got 66points on this crazy season. 0 points on man city, aston villa, palace, wolves, forrest & everton
This makes me feel better about my prediction 😅 got 90 points and only 1 team perfect in wolves at 13th. Crazy season tho leicester going down, Newcastle getting top 4, chelsea falling into bottom half. 😬 always next year for better prediction. 😂😅

I might have predicted many things wrong for this season but I knew that Brighton would get Europa League and I'm so proud of that
liverpool was screwed over by injuries if it wasn't for most of the team being injured they easily challenge for the title which they will this coming season
