    I have owned my PX for over 10 months. This is one fantastic instrument for the price! There is so much you can do with this instrument. I play this piano at least 2-3 hours a day- every day- and it has not had one problem! NOTHING at twice the price is even close, in my mind.

    Hi Chuck, how does this piano sound on a mix. My Kawai MP7 SE sounds really great when solo, but in a mix, it does not stand out.

    Chuck, I absolutely LOVE your channel. Thank you for your efforts.
    I have to throw a small complaint at you in hopes that you will adopt a camera with a higher resolution. I'm not sure what your are using, but it looks horrible and reviews as detailed as yours really deserve something more-substantial.
    Keep up the great work. :-)

    Chuck, does the PX560 have the same plastic keys as the CGP700 or more realistic keys similar to an acoustic piano?

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has the tri-sensor scaled Hammer Action II keys, same as the current Privia and CGP700 line. Its an awesome action comparable to that of a good upright piano. If you're looking more for action similar to a grand piano, you'll need to significantly jump up in price to the higher end Kawai and Yamaha boards. Most folks (myself included) much prefer Casio's action to other brands in the same price range.

    I'm moving to a student appartment and this is the perfect piano to have there ! It's 800 euros in France, really great value. Thanks for the review
    I was wondering if the customization also let you play something, loop it and then play things on top of it with different presets ?
    How do the samples compare with more expensive alternatives ?

    Hey Chuck, how much better is the action on the Kawai MP11 compared to this one? I started piano lessons a few months ago and my teacher has an upright and it's so much different that PX-560 (which is not bad but still), so I would like a better action, is the Kawai MP11 worth it? I don''t care about weight difference.
    Also check the SteinwayD patch on the Casio forums download section, I think it sounds better than the default grand piano :)

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kawai MP11 is designed to be like that of a Grand Piano (which it does a great job at)! Casio Privia actions are more like upright / console pianos. You may be used to your upright, but different upright brands all feel unique.

      I would always pick the Kawai over the Casio, regardless of model.

    I have mine for two weeks. I'm really happy with it. Quite an awesome piano for this price range! The only thing I'm missing is registration foot switch that can be found on some Korg models.

    Hi Chuck, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020...question, is there another PRIVIA MODEL with the EXACT or CLOSE enough quality sound of the PX560, ? I ONLY use the STRAIGHT PIANO SOUNDS and personally would like the PIANO to be in SOLID BLACK COLOR [ as I perform in FORMAL / ELEGANT settings in which a BLACK COLOR is a better fit ] Thank you so much for ALL your AWESOME videos !!!

      @matthewgaines10 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The PX 360 is a black PX 560 with less features and the same digital sound samples for piano.

    User Friendly Registration Display? The one thing I wish Casio would have done is to improve the organization and tracking of registrations (song settings) whatever you want to call them. If I want to find a particular Registration (song) I can't easily find it unless I have it written down somewhere. For example, say I want to find my settings (the Registration) for Separate Ways, I have no idea where it is. Is it 2-3 (bank 2, registration 3,) or 3-4 or 1-20 or what? I've gone through this a number of times over the past few years.
    I had to learn how to play the keys because the band I wanted to play for needed a keyboard player and already had a bass player. We had three sets for 40 songs so I wanted to set up the Registrations using the Banks 1 through 3 for each set. For example, Bank 1, Registrations 1 through 13 would be the first set.
    With the amazing leaps and bounds of computer technology it doesn't make sense not to have a screen that lists the names of each Registration for each of the four Banks. Frankly, there should be a Registration menu where you can display and sort the Registration Names alphabetically as well as by bank so you can easily find registrations you have saved and even a search function. You have 96 registrations, 4 banks of 24 right?. Try to find the settings for a particular song. And what about file name sizes? I haven't played the keyboard for a while but I remember the px-5s was limited to so many characters - eight I think. I don't recall on the px-560 but I think the file names were limited as well.
    One cool thing, now that I'm thinking about it, would be to have the keyboard set up so that you can easily place an iPad on the keyboard which would plug into the keyboard and control various functions of the keyboard or just simply increase the display size of the keyboard screen.
    I was hoping Casio would have continued with the stage pianos from the px-5s to the px-560 to ???? (I purchased both of them). What happened? Where is the next Casio Privia stage keyboard?
    Anyway, I was hoping the next progression would make the Registrations much more user friendly.

    Hi Chuck, can you recommend external speakers that would hugely improve the sound quality of the build-in speakers? You are using external speakers but I can never tell the brand. I don't want to go over $1k on the speakers and if I can use it with other instruments, it would get at well (not a must).

      Sorry, that's the one thing that's so personal to everyone that you HAVE TO get to your local retailer and try them all. Even then, whatever you pick will sound completely different in your studio....
      You don't hear my monitors in any of my videos, everything is recorded directly into the recording software via direct audio interface. I'll be reviewing more studio monitors in the future, but will never make any direct recommendations.

    Hi Chuck I love your reviews, you do a great job!!! However the PX-560 has become a little aged. I expected a new model at the NAMM 2018. At the moment you can't find a PX-560 in the biggest music store in Germany and in other stores the price drops drastically. Do you know anything about a successor? Regards George :-)

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't expect a successor any time soon. Even the PX-5S is now 5 years old, still current, and no successor yet.

    • @malelonewolf80
      @malelonewolf80 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      PianoManChuck What is the timeline for a successor to the Korg Kronos 2? So far happy with my Casio px-560, though I find that some of the non-piano sounds are a bit meh compared to the Kronos 2.

  • @amitev

    Chuck, my Casio doesn't store system settings (touch response, metronome beat, etc.) in the registrations. Could you check if that works on yours?

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are global settings. See "System Settings" in your user manual (somewhere around pg 74) and use your "System Settings" screen for this. Also turn "auto resume" on within system settings.
      Please post all further/future Casio technical and 'how to' questions at the PX560 forum at www.casiomusicforums.com

    • @amitev
      @amitev 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      PianoManChuck thank you! I posted in the forum but no answer there. In the registration menu there is ba filter for system settings, that's why I think they should be storef to the registration as well.

      I normally state things I don't like when I do a review.... in the case of the PX-560, there was nothing I didn't like for a board in this price range. That's why its my board of choice for when I play in a band, and one of my choices for solo piano gigs.

    • @PianoManChuck
      @PianoManChuck  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends on your value of the "controller" parameter within the registration screen menu.
      See the "Configuring Digital Piano Settings" section of your user manual; the "Registration Screen" portion about 12 pages into that section will explain.
