I'm a Violist and i've wanted to switch to violin because of all the teasing and mean ass jokes about us, but this man gave me that hope to keep on going and pursue what I love.
I'm a violinist and I always search out for videos of viola soloists,that's how I got here in the first place, the viola is extremely beautiful and quite balanced in terms of range and tonality....do what you love regardless of what people have to say... There are no sides in what we do, we're all just siblings with different roles💓
Ironically, came here from twosetviolin, after some time looking for a good piece of viola playing despite all of their roasting on this instrument. It ends up awed me

This guy is fuckin' magical.. It's not even the flawless talent, but rather his sheer infatuation with the music. I wish I was half as passionate about something as this guy is with the violin.

Let us NOT forget that MANY of the GREATEST composers of western classical music PREFERRED to play the viola over the violin! AND, the viola is the first and oldest of the so called modern violin family.
If only David and Maxim Vengerov could get together - but, perhaps that much passion for the instruments and music would not be good for the playback device! But one can dream.

I love his sound but I in general dislike "showmanship". He does lots of that 😕
all musicians do it? it's part of artuculating the music. gives it more "feel" or so they taught
