The most impressive version of four season.
I’m on my way to see this exact piece. Performed at the Walt Disney concert Hall with my grandmother but this recording and this soloist is by far my favorite. I do not believe that the performance today will be better than this because she is phenomenal so I am definitely still excited to see the show, but how lucky were this audience to be able to listen to such a talented, violinist and orchestra! I hope you’re still active and performing, and I hope to see one of your shows!
I dont know why I cry listening to this music. Maybe it is because of this extremely good ensamble and this fantastic solist Clara-Jumi Kang, or maybe it is because of the way Piazolla transports Vivaldi into the streets of Buenos Aires with its tango feeling. Anyhow it is a good cry 🥲

Ole Akahoshi evidently plays on a "machine-pressed cheap Chinese cello (Bravo Ole Akahoshi)" says the comment. If it is so I have to compliment his playing. His playing is quite fantastic, it raises this consert to be something unique. To hear this "cheap Chinese cello" gives me goosebumps all over and I seriously doubt this comment is true about this machine-pressed cheap cello. Instead I want to raise his playing to the highest level. Listen at 8:29

클라라 주미강의 연주는 화려하지만 요란하지않으며, 클래시하지만 지루하지 않은 매력이 있다. 처음 들을 때는 잘 모르지만 여러번 듣다보면 절제미 속에 꽉찬 선율들을 느낄 수 있다.

24년 되어서 이 영상을 보니, 음악을 사랑하는 모스크바 시민들이 새해에는 평화를 되찾길 바라는 마음이 새삼 드네요.. 불행한 침략과 억압이 어서 종결되고 평화가 찾아왔으면 좋겠습니다. 그리고 세상에서 가장 아름다우신ㅠ 클라라 님과 정말 멋진 연주자 분들 모두 복된 새해가 되면 좋겠네요! :)

삼일 전에 부산시향 연주회 대비, 듣고 있는데 오케스트라 바협 / 피아노 삼중주 / 여기와 같은 실내악 버전 등 다양한 버전이 존재하네요.
위와 같은 순서로 연주가 되는 건 확실한데 기돈 크레머께서 이 음악을 여러 분과 콜라보로 발굴한 거에 대해서 경의를 표합니다.
마지막으로 여러 가지 음악을 소개해 주는 최수열 마에스트로 진짜 수고가 많습니다. 레퍼토리도 넓어지고 좋네요.

In an easy way to express it: This is heart-taking, stone-breaking, soul-making, head-shaking, ear-penetrating kind of music. You cant get rid of it. And you dont want to. You just want to listen, over and over again.

In my opinion this is the best version of Piazzollas Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. I may be wrong, but I can handle that.
@Tedi T Yes, I´ve checked Rodion Petrov and the Russian Philharmonic, and perhaps you are right. A most impressive performance. Thank you! But Im already hooked on Clara-Jumi and therefore Im not the right person to judge between them. Anyway, the sound quality is much better in Clara-Jumis performance. It shouldn´t be of that importance, but for me it is a benefit, with my fine headphones.
P.S. Tedi T, Less contemporary, there you are right, but as we know that isnt wrong at all. I promise to listen to this many times! D.S.

Esta es otra muestra más de que la música de Astor es mundial, de muy alto nivel y ejecutada cada vez más por orquestas, conjuntos y solistas de alta calidad, mal que les pese a los tangueros nostálgicos. Pero para ellos también están los temas del Polaco acompañado por el fuelle impar del Maestro.
Existió "El gran sordo", Don Beto, que nos legó una obra impresionante. Como contrapartida, hay una gran legión de "sorditos" que no están para más que La Cumparsita.

Clara Jumi Kang is a top rated violinist these days I like her a lot. I am learning to listen to this music, now for the third time and starting to like it. Why did the poster specially mention "8:27 | It was a machine-pressed cheap Chinese cello (Bravo Ole Akahoshi)"? I don't know if it is a Chinese made cello, cheap or not. This cello sounds wonderful to me.

El lirismo de Piazzola llega a su punto culminante, en mi modesta opinión, en Invierno Porteño. Una joya de la música universal.
I dont think Piazzolla should have liked to be compared to Vivaldi. No, and in this music he only uses some melodical phrases, or actually many melodical phrases from Vivaldi. But the key is that this music is transformed to latin-american music, tango, and we never want to be reminded of Vivaldi. No, we hope and plead that this music will stand for itself. And it does. In its own right, and in its own splendid generosity to us listeners. We have the right foot to be our judge this time, and it will tip-toe a lot, not all the time, but several times. And the musicians are all splendid (note the celloplayer, exquisite), and of course Clara-Jumi! But we western listeners will always think Vivaldi when we listen to this music. So excuse us Astor, we are trapped in an old way of thinking!
But now I recon it isnt only his music! A man called Leonid Desyatnikov made an arrangement of Piazollas four pieces, and he made the connection to Vivaldi more obvious. So poor Piazzolla! What I said before: "I dont think Piazzolla should have liked to be compared to Vivaldi" perhaps is right more than I thought. Anyway, good music!

Perhaps this can illustrate Piazzollas dilemma: He had a life long earning to write classical music, but was adviced to stay with tango.
Vivaldi or classical tango. He choosed a new way: The new tango, sometimes with classical music. Like here, in this breathtaking performance. Four Seasons in a quite new way. Congrats to all the musicians, specially Clara-Jumi Kang.

"I have to admit I don't know this piece of music. I am listening to it for the third time, first played by SoYoung Yoon, second by Clara JuMi Kang, now by Elissa Lee Koljonen. The sequence shown here is Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. However, the quotation of Vivaldi in the "first season" here at 1:27 is definitely Vivaldi's Winter. Why is it? Ah! Is it because Vivaldi's winter is summer in Argentina? It is still not right. Vivaldi's winter, with its accompanying sonnet, describe as:
Aggiacciato tremar trà nevi algenti
To tremble from cold in the icy snow,
Al Severo Spirar d' orrido Vento,
Correr battendo i piedi ogni momento;
E pel Soverchio gel batter i denti;
In the harsh breath of a horrid wind;
