In Japan, you do say the word sake! They are huge in so many varieties of flavors! But just from your guys’s comments you do say the word sake over in Japan! They are very proud of their sake over in Japan and allot of older Japanese always have sake in their home. There is a town in Japan where you can go to a place and pay to try samples of over several hundred of sake that are made from all over Japan! Apple sake is delicious! Big fan of yours Tim! Love your videos
I’ve commented on this before but hear me out lol. I used to be a chambermaid when I was a student including two high end hotels. The stains on the red sofa and the marks under the tv and around the bed skirt aren’t acceptable really. Any soft furnishings, including headboards or pelmets, would be steam cleaned with an incredibly strong handheld suction steamer and dried before the next guests would be checked in if there were any marks/stains present. If that wasn’t possible the items or covers on the items would be replaced. I would clean the room/suite and then it would be checked by the supervisor. THEN the head of housekeeping would come in and check again. The fact that there were obvious marks on things makes me a little bit cross because it’s not a cheap place and should be scrupulous. Apart from that whinge of mine it looked very nice and great history. Loved the extras for Casper as well. Nice one guys 🫶🏻.
Absolutely justified, standards all across the board have dropped, I think its about money and less staff in these greedy times. I really think if we pay for a high end Hotel we should expect prestine rooms.
@@CheshireCat6639 the other thing that I don’t appreciate in hotels is when there are fabric headboards. I’ve noticed that you both *always* kindly say “Thank you” to staff. Shows you were both raised by good people, and are raising little Casper the same. ❤️🔥 *Great content, as always!* Hello from east Tennessee 🙂
Tim, you needn't be concerned about the length of time the horses are standing at the Boxman post. In fact the horses at Horseguards are changed every hour, and the two footguards (Gatesman and Chitsman) are changed every two hours, except in extreme weather conditions when it is hourly.
Hey Tim! I just found your channel recently while recovering from burns. It has certainly helped me pass the time in a much needed, spirit lifting way. Highly appreciate your content brother
Oh I just found this channel, as it popped up. I would have called housekeeping as soon as I saw that dust hanging from the TV and the sofa stains, -- I would not want the Hotel to think I made those stains especially when you are traveling with a child. Shocked at the condition of the room. Yes, someone needs to be alerted.
What a beautiful hotel and amazing experience! Caspers gifts were so cute as was his little horse guards uniform. The pool area too looked amazing, I can`t afford to book a stay there so thanks for taking us along with you Tim!

This honestly looks like the most attention to detail I have seen in my time. We usually tend to go for more "modern" hotels, but are often dissapointed with the details. I especially love how family oriented they are with the tent, note, costume etc. I might have to reconsider my hotel choices going forward.
Absolutely agreed with you about paying high price and expecting top notch 120% pristine quality and cleanliness. Means Raffles London OWO housekeeping need to uplift their game. Great video!
This one’s Definitely going on my hotel bucket-list! As a WWII history enthusiast, I would happily book their cheapest room for a couple days just for the opportunity to explore every nook and cranny of the place! Absolutely stunning!!
Love it when Gabby and Casper are with you. Also you can never be over dressed, you just set a standard and people should take note. When the hotel and staff go to such efforts then you should too.
Tim, the horses only stand duty for an hour. Horseguards used to be the ceremonial entrance to buckingham palace, now its military barracks and MOD offices.
I'm not British, but I agree, it all looks very British to me! The history made there....all very heady stuff! So neat they remodeled that important building into a grand hotel!
Im with you tim on the pillow chop- my sister is interior decorator- and this is some knew fade- will fade away soon hopefully- i also like the pillows with the corners up - no chop😝
You managed to see the hotel done up beautifully for Christmas and not have to deal with the Christmas period busyness. Perfect time to stay id say. Gorgeous hotel. Loved the information on the screen instead of speaking over the video.
It's the little, and not so little, personal touches that make all the difference, and make it a memorable stay. I'll never be able to experience it but a girl can dream... with help from Tim. Yes, the hotel at this price point should have a steam cleaner for the furniture stains.

Casper looked adorable! I think it was a lovely place and to get the tour was a cherry on top. It is expensive but it's a one off experience that will be remembered. You both also looked class in your dinner attire.
By far my favorite hotel you’ve ever stayed in. Classic, tasteful and historical to boot. They’ve done a brilliant job with the decor. So much character and not gaudy or bland neutral colors of the new or modernized hotels. Love it!
Almost FEELS like James Bond? The man’s holding the camera! Only this time. He’s not only married to his profession. But to a fellow double-0 who also sings! What 00-Tim isn’t telling us is that they are staying at this hotel on mission à la Hitchcock’s The Man Who Knew Too Much.
Wow, what a wonderful, historic experience for you! I'd never spend that much on a one night stay in a hotel. But it sure is fun watching you doing it. The details - from Casper's hideout to the kid-friendly candles, not to mention the champagne on arrival - all are the extras you just do not receive in the less expensive, not-so-elegant hotels. It's nice! And you're right: at that price point, the couches should be pristine, as well as all the mirrors and the windows. All in all, though, a great experience! Thank you for sharing it with us, Tim.
Staying at such a historical place looked like such a great experience! I love watching you and the places you visited! You are very honest and thorough which I appreciate! Your wife is lovely as well and Casper is very adorable! Thank you very much! Safe travels!
I worked in the Old War Office in the early 80s and I could CERTAINLY tell you a few salacious stories. My office overlooked the MOD Main building so we got amazing views when any VIP visitors arrived. I once got told off by soldiers for peeking out from behind the bomb nets for a better view! Amazing place and so many memories.
I’ve only just recently found your channel and can I say how much I enjoy your reviews. Churchill’s war bunker is just a few steps away from from the hotel and also well worth a visit
Excellent hotel - everything looked new loved the room and the gifts and setup for Casper were wow!! Love the history touches around the hotel (the cleaning staff should make notes on stains in the rooms with the room number to help report these?)
Such a perfect view of the guards. I often watch a TH-camr who films there and it’s hilarious when the guards shout at the tourists for grabbing the reins of the horse. You’d think that common sense would tell you not to touch!😅🙄😂
That was lovely of him to show you the "Cognac Experience" .. you would've thought that you'd get a snobby response I got asked him, but he seemed really cool.
Love it but that message Chair inside that pool is my super favorite. I'm jawdropped , didn't know this was a thing 😊 thanks for walk with us all, Tim!
I've been getting more fascinated by British military and political history (hence going back to uni to study) and this episode has me wide-eyed with awe. An exquisite building. I can't wait to visit the UK. Great vid, Tim👍 EDIT: The Horse Guards boxes are the ceremonial entrance to Buckingham Palace. The guards (active soldiers in the Household Cavalry Regiment) are in ceremonial uniform. They are guarding Buckingham Palace & the King. Firstly….omg Gaby! That green dress! Wow, you looked absolutely gorgeous! And Tim, you looked amazing too! No such thing as over-dressed in my opinion. Having said that, Casper in his little guards suit was just the cutest 🥰 He wins for outfit of the day 😂 Thank you again for yet another awesome vid. As an Aussie, I loved the history of this hotel. Keep up the great work, looking forward to the next one.
Thank you Tim, Gabby and Casper for sharing with us all your luxurious experience at Raffles. Your suite looked amazing. You both looked so smart when you went to dinner. The guests that opted for casual don't appreciate how underdressed they looked compared to guests who do make an effort. You didn't mention where Casper was when you went to dinner. I presume the hotel offered a babysitter service. Thank you for a great review.
My brother lives across the street from this gorgeous hotel and when I was visiting him in September I was wondering how it would be to stay here...now I (almost) know! Loved the Singapore (I live in Singapore) and London sling section!
I often stay at the H10 London Waterloo with work. It’s a Spanish chain and they always give you a glass of cava when you check in. Such a simple gesture but it means I always choose H10 over other hotels! 😊
Hi tim love the video. The history of that building!.little casper is a star as usual! Nice that you blur peoples faces and respect of their privacy, not many people do this. Keep upbthe good work
Amazing! I hope you don't ever feel like you are taken the hotel for granted. I seen some people that do and what a bore. I have seen you stay at other hotels, like the clown hotel, and you are always finding the good in it. Oh, I finally figure out what the overhead lights look like, LOL!
definitely a bucket list experience, some of the hotel looked like you was in a country house somewhere, you half expected miss moneypenny to appear out of one the rooms
What a beautiful hotel. Stunning decor. Attention to detail is wonderful. I agree with you regarding the cushions. Great little touches for Casper. That is a lobby for sure. You both look awesome. Thanks for the tour. Amazing history.
I went for afternoon tea - as you said the staff were amazing. Stay.ed in Raffles Dubai and the staff were amazing as well. I think they are the best hotel for staff and that makes a hotel to me - loved this video 💖🇬🇧🥳
Wow, love this one! I shall definitely watch this again - two or three times! I didn't know this was being converted to a hotel - love the history and beautiful public rooms. Will have to try the bar or restaurant next time we're in London. Hopefully you can wander around downstairs if you're not staying. You both looked great in your outfits - classy and in keeping for a classy hotel.
Great video once again You both ‘brush up well’ Gabby looks amazing in that dress The building’s architecture is WOW but it’s part if history A relative of mine. Her ex husband married twice more one wife was 20 years older and was a secret agent part of SOE She was very fluent in French and German She made it through the war and spent her last days in Lyme Regis
I loved this hotel. Would definitely consider staying there one day. I like the cushions like you do. I would definitely have to straighten them out too! The tour was amazing. So much history. How cute did Casper look in his uniform 🥰
Thank you for this video, I always enjoy your channel. I’ve worked at The Four Seasons Hotel and I remember crawling on the floor to make sure no spot were on the bed, carpet corners. Mirrors had to be spotless, I was a supervisor and if the housekeeper missed a spot I would have to call them back and we would fix it together, not all supervisors worked with the housekeeper but I remember starting at the bottom so I treated people as I wanted to be treated. Nice video. God bless.🙏💐
Hi Tim! I do enjoy these fish out of water videos sometimes.. this place looks very cool... I do miss the old Walk With Me Tim videos though... where you stayed at some of the more classic hotels and resorts...slightly less than 5 star...where you'd actually Walk around the hotel....neighborhood....piers.....etc...I always watched those to plan future destination goals! Do you think you'll ever be getting back to that format?
Hi Tim and Gaby. I love the room and what an experience to be able to stay in the war rooms/Raffles hotel. The history alone sells it. I am glad they also do a free historic tour to discover more of the history behind the building.
What a lovely place!! I agree with you about the couch pillows. Every time I see them dented at the top like that, I think they look giant fortune cookies. Hahaha.
Have you changed something? I can't put my finger on it, camera work, editing? This video is superb Tim. Good mix of humour, history, hotel features & info. I had the misfortune of hearing about the nonsense that happened from my mrs who watches Gabby. I dont often comment, just wanted you to know that for every one vocal idiot, you've got many thousands of people supporting you, who enjoy what you do and look forward to your uploads.
Great vlogs guys, thumps looked amazing in his uniform as did the both of you going for dinner, cannot believe people not making an effort especially in a beautiful hotel like Raffles.
Absolutely magnificent. It is great that these old buildings, like the Corinthia, have been repurposed for good use. Gaby was absolutely right when she said you were paying not just for the drink. Similarly, with regard to cost, you are not just paying for the room but also for those personal touches. Coupled with the history I think that I would probably now rate this as the top London hotel. As always, it is great to be able to share these experiences with you.
Great review, loved the history behind the building. I love the fact you always explore all areas of any hotel you stay at, especially some of the "restricted" areas.
Great video as ever Tim👏 Loved you and Gaby exploring the hotel, what a grand place. The staff seem very knowledgeable. Beautiful location. Casper's little den and outfit was a classy touch. Definitely a hotel with a lot of history which you captured really well. Thank you.
Great job Tim showing us this absolutely beautiful hotel. I must say Gaby looked stunning. Casper always a cutie patootie. Very impressively done. Much ❤ to you all .
Super amazing vlog Tim. Very beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Hope you and Casper had a fantastic time there and Casper looks super cute in his outfit, thank you for sharing. Have a lovely evening 👍🤗
As always Tim a great honest, well balanced vlog. So good you were able to have Gaby and Casper with you. Overall it’s a wonderful hotel obviously steeped in history. Great to hear the service is of the standard you would expect for the price you are paying. It’s certainly another world in my life that I will only ever see through your camera lens’. Well Done Tim Thank You for sharing this

One of your best and most interesting videos. Many thanks to you and your family
Great video as always, Tim and Gabby and Casper!
Great video once again
You both ‘brush up well’
Gabby looks amazing in that dress
The building’s architecture is WOW but it’s part if history
A relative of mine. Her ex husband married twice more one wife was 20 years older and was a secret agent part of SOE
She was very fluent in French and German
She made it through the war and spent her last days in Lyme Regis
Looks a fab place to stay, very shiny. Please don’t stop dressing up, it’s nice to see people making an effort 😊
Glad to see another eagerly awaited video. Thanks for another wonderful tour. I always wonder who the design team was.
Hahaha.
I do as well 😂
Have you changed something? I can't put my finger on it, camera work, editing? This video is superb Tim. Good mix of humour, history, hotel features & info. I had the misfortune of hearing about the nonsense that happened from my mrs who watches Gabby. I dont often comment, just wanted you to know that for every one vocal idiot, you've got many thousands of people supporting you, who enjoy what you do and look forward to your uploads.
Super visit. Looks amazing. The sake bit was funny 😅
Great vlogs guys, thumps looked amazing in his uniform as did the both of you going for dinner, cannot believe people not making an effort especially in a beautiful hotel like Raffles.
Again...an amazing rendition of your wonderful stay. Thanks!!!
Happy new year to you all. What a wonderful hotel! Casper is growing fast. 👍 Breakfast too expensive - time for a Greggs bacon roll.
I work on Whitehall and after seeing all the work going on over the years it's fascinating to see how it's turned out.
Love the history , stunning building and love the touches they put on for Casper x
Glad you enjoyed it Barry
A drink is a drink when it's over priced it's over priced no matter wat the presentation looks like
Great review, loved the history behind the building.
Thank you.
Love how you all, who are from there r trying to understand the guards as well 😄
That pool room makes it all worth it..And Casper❤️soooo cute

Fantastic, such a lovely family you have love watching your videos and discovering new places.
Thanks so much 😊
What a wonderful experience. I am so glad you dressed up for the evening, it makes it more of an event & it really is an event.
Well Done Tim Thank You for sharing this
Love the lil outfit and tent for Casper, hugs to Gabby you and the family from central Ontario Canada ❤
It looks grand outside & has that corporate feel in the room so thanks for the insight.
