4 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp bees wax 2tbsp mango butter Let melt stir 10 drops essential oil lavender Add colour optional Mix well Sorry was just trying to save the recipe by writing it out. Thank you for this looks lovely
Can you please link the nontoxic dye that you used as you mentioned in the video please? We tried using a powdered non toxic dye and it didnt work well.
Be careful with colors. Skin-safe doesn't always mean lip safe. Make sure the color specifically says it's safe to use on the lips. Food coloring isn't always a good option because most contain water. If water is added to this gloss it will also require a preservative. In addition to that, you'll have issues with separation because oil and water don't mix without an emulsifier. I mean no hate or harm. I love your channel! I own a company that makes natural beauty products including lip gloss and just wanted to share so knowledge. :-)
I have tubes with wands that I am going to use for my lipgloss. Would this recipe work in those? I'm thinking of trying and maybe cutting down on the butter if necessary. If you already know whether it will work the way that it is, I would appreciate the feedback. Thanks
Thank you for sharing all of your amazing videos for all of us who are trying to stay away from toxic ingredients! I just made these with soy wax, it was very easy, but it not sticky enough (thickish yes), more oily and dries out so quickly on my lips .. Maybe it's soy or MTC? I usually use candelila wax for everything but it might be to hard for this! Any suggestions? Thanks
When adding oils. What is the difference between buying from a grocery store or a soap where house supply place? Does it matter if I get my olive oil from the store
I love when I watch a recipe being made and I have ALL the ingredients on hand! Woohoo! I don't have that kind of lip gloss container, so I'll repurpose one with a wand that I have. Also, why did you melt the oils directly in the pot instead of a double boiler? I've never seen it done w/o a double boiler, so I am curious.
@@ouroilyhouse Thanks! I've always wondered why I couldn't just melt in the pot! I made this recipe and my lips feel great! I used lavender and tangerine (I don't get in the sun much). Thanks for the great recipe! :-)
Hi, I love watching and learning new things with essentials oils. Considering to make lip glosses to give as gifts. I would like to know if there is a substitute for the beeswax Thanks Melinda
Any substitutes for coconut oil? Preferably no coconut or nut oil due to allergies. Usually I use almond oil but making for someone with allergies. Jojoba oil maybe?
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp bees wax
2tbsp mango butter
Let melt stir
10 drops essential oil lavender

Could you tell me what natural color do you use ? Thank you Laura
i dont see the color you listed linke? also is it water base or oil based? would mica powder work?
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe ♥️ Can I use Castor Oil instead of Olive Oil?
What did you use for the “natural coloring” in the recipe?

Thank you! You can add an antioxidant like vitamin E antioxidant or rosemary antioxidant to help extend the shelf life of the oils if desired.
@@ouroilyhouse how about glyserine?
I wish someone told me this before , I used to use water based food coloring and I would be so confused I thought I was mixing it wrong 💀
BibleBasedWomanhood do you have videos on making natural lip gloss
What do you use for coloring? Thanks
So fun! I will have to try these. Thanks for sharing😊
You are so welcome!
What kind of coloring should I use
Any one you like
Shall we added shea butter
Can I substitute the butters for a cold pressed unrefined coconut oil?
Do u have a link for the dye?

Yes I think so!
Thank you so much for dropping all the gems ❤
I signed up for 3 if your ebooks. Thank you. New Subbie
You are so welcome!!
What is the size of the containers? The link can't be found on Amazon anymore. Thanks!
can you also show the application of items you make? Like the lip gloss, application of lotion on hands, etc.
Yes, that would be nice.🙂
Can you please tell me where you got the thing to pour into the lipgloss tube
So cool!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
can we use more olive oil if we dont have the fractionated coconut oil???
Yes any carrier oil will work!
@@ouroilyhouse thank you so much! i love these simple diy recipes and i really appreciate how you always reply to comments!!!

You can you use to substitute the beeswax?
You can use soy wax

How does it go more solid? Mine stay quite liquid...
I'm really excited to make this for Christmas gifts. I'm wondering if I can use organic coconut oil that's not fractionated? Please let me know
This one needs to be fractionated. I do have a lip balm with regular coconut oil: www.ouroilyhouse.com/diy-lip-balm-with-essential-oils/
You can also use sunflower lecithin capsules
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey love ur video
Thank you!
Hi is it really glossy or more like a blam texture,Is it not gonna b hard,as contains wax and butter

I have done both ways but because this is such a small amount it doesn't take long so burning or sticking isn't really an issue.

I can't find the Skin-safe dye link, could anyone help?
Me either
I used a non toxic crayon for color . Is this a good or bad thing
Crayon... Dear god 😂

I have found that almond wax is a great replacement!
There is also another vegan alternative I can’t remember the name of it it starts with an s though
Great video. Love them all and that you use doterra. FYI the coloring product says in the Q and A not to use in lipgloss.
Oh thank you! I will have to check that out!
Does color tint show on your lips? Or is the color too translucent to show?
Depends on how much color you use. I made some brighter red and it did show.

Are all Versagels toxic or carcinogen? If no, what is the safest brand/brands?
Wooooooow
Do you have a suggestion for sun spots on the face?
Yes! I have a video and vlog post sharing a roller bottle recipe for skin tone: www.ouroilyhouse.com/3-essential-oil-roller-bottles-for-skin/
@@ouroilyhouse great thank you!
Piggy paint nail polish I have found are non toxic
Thank you!!
Essential oils aren't safe for ingesting. Flavorings are best.
FYI, big one, you will need a tiny tiny tiny funnel
Woof 🐶
You didn't even USE the lipgloss. Is it on the thicker or thinner side? What does the color payout look like? 👎🏾👎🏾
It’s thinner than my chapstick for sure, it’s glossy with a pink tint.
Wow, so rude.
@ Wow, three years later. This creator and myself have gone on to do better and be better. Let’s all do the same.
this is lip oil not lip gloss
@@p1dizzy ok? I never said it wasn't glossy
that is a lipbalm, a good one, but not a lip gloss..
Woow woow 😍💋 💝💖❤️
