Thanks for another awesome video. Lmk in the future if you wanna trade euros or have some for re-homing. I also breed euros that come from imports. Blacks, brown, creaminos and reds
Hello friend, such beautiful birds, lucky me I can be sure about genders from the second month's, just stay calm near or close to them for a while and put male you sure about in a cage and one by one for the others with the male, you can see the one you put either singing/male nor make just noise like snoring/female, regarding nesting box I believe it should be half of the one you use, for me I use the plastic one inside the cage, I use to put it up in the corner, they will mate fast and lay eggs fast as well, good luck
If you can let them pair themselves they will breed faster for you. When you select them it take a little longer for them to breed but they should still breed for you.
You know I enjoy your videos... am struggling though to know exactly what a society finch is... are there specific breeds that make them society finches... sorry for the dumb question but I am trying to learn as much as I can... Thank you so much for sharing?
Society finches are their own species. It’s believed to be a man made species through generations of breeding with other Asian munia species centuries ago. There are many different color mutations of society finches. They tend to be incredible breeders and foster birds for many other species.
Canary finches! It's technically not wrong, I mean, they are domesticated finches from the Canary islands :D Societies are so nice, funny and sometimes clumsy birds that are a joy to own and watch. Having an indoor aviary in my living room, the only negative thing I have to say is that they like climbing and clinging to the sides of the aviary, and then poop on it, so they are 70% the reason why the cage sides themselves need to be cleaned as often as they do :P
I have a room in my home that is a "bird room". I have 3 budgies and they have a cage but during the day they fly free in the room. Can I put 2 finches in a cage 25 inches long by 16 inches wide and 53 inches high as long as the finches can fly free during the day with the budgies?? Or should I keep the budgies in their cage part of the day ? And the finches in their cage part of the day as well ? Have them take turns being out?
You could try it. I would try having the birds out at separate times just to make sure that the parakeets don’t nip at the finches toes. Some parakeets are mellow and don’t attack or I just other birds and some are more aggressive.
Hey,im in Jacksonville Florida.Just got into Finches.Whats a good ratio of Zebra Finches?I have 1 pair Zebra Finches,3 females, should I get 3 males to get them to breed?
I do not have one available unfortunately. You should follow me on Instagram @birdnerd4 and PM me some pictures of your bird. I’d love to see the colors.

Great video!! Is there a difference when you posit the society finches vs them pairing themselves?
If you can let them pair themselves they will breed faster for you. When you select them it take a little longer for them to breed but they should still breed for you.
magnifique 👋👍
Thank you!

Yes I would agree they can be messy and tend to poop
On the wires more than other birds.

Pairs are great, so if you have a male for every female that should work.
Nice
Thanks
Are those Bangalore?I have a pair of them, and Manchin Pair, how many babies do they have?
Bengalese finches yes. They typically have between 3-6 chicks per clutch.
Hi, my name is Alfredo I have a black & white silver beak French and it's hard for me to find a female for him.
