So you keep pitch , roll and Heave with the SFX-100. Any noticeable lost of sensation from losing Sway, Yaw and Surge with the SF-100 and flight siming?
How does the SFX-100 rig feel with a helicopter? Do you get the feeling of skids coming off the ground when you take off? What about banking? Does it have enough movement? Thanks for your comments and video!
Hi do you find that when the servos are running you get some interference with the light house tracking? I have jus built similar rig but when servos are running I get allot of interference with the lighthouse trackers, any advice would be appreciated.. cheers
All of the electrical equipment you use like the computer and sim rig all need to be on the same earth ground. You will want put a self tapping screw into your sim rig frame with a wire attached to the same ground as the rest of the equipment. Doing this 100 percent solved my tracking "grey outs"
Think I heard you say you start up simtools after x plane has launched. Anyway I tried this and it definitely helps x plane run with better fps. Decided to refine my x plane profile after watching this to make it more smooth. Simtools has way to many variables.
For Pimax, the latest PiTool has a motion compensation option. Simply use a tracker or one of your controllers attached to the rig to fix head position drift. I used it today for a few hours and it works well. The only thing to solve at the moment is where to place it - there seems to be a relationship between the placement and orientation of the tracker and the other controller.
