The part you were talking about is called a madrigal, which is actually where the Madrigals got their last name! (because it’s clear they love to sing)
Lydia's villian songs are a sort of butterfly effect thing, where she changes one or two thing in the original movie plot which causes the princess to becomea villian
If you click the word more in the description you get the whole story while Mirabel became a villain. Here’s the story for you anyway: Mirabel has always tried to be understanding, tried to accept that her family was meant to shine and she was meant to blend into the background. She tried to be loving and kind and helpful but her family responded to that kindness with cruelty. They refused to see Mirabel as a valued member of the family and in our story instead of forgiving and trying to connect with her family Mirabel rejects them. Out Mirabel has allowed her disdain and hatred grow, and now that darkness blinds her. Her pure heart tarnished by bitterness and her mind set on revenge. If they won’t see her as a valued member of the family then she’ll take away that what they treasure the most. To be loved and valued less than a candle, it’s laughable really. And so it’s about time Mirabel places a mirror in front of her family, showing them exactly what she sees. Pepa, s frightened coward, hiding in her storms and constantly running from the truth. Dolores like her mother, too afraid of the truth and what it means to speak up. Isabela, putting on a performance everyday to avoid what facing herself could truly mean, what facing her thorns could mean. And alma, the Matriarch, sitting so high above them all that she can no longer see her family, can no longer see what truly matters Every single member of her family saw Mirabel’s suffering, saw Bruno’s suffering and chose to ignore it. And so they are no longer worthy of her love, no longer deserving of all the sacrifices Mirabel has to make this family work. And so, the thing they love and value the most will be taken from them. Maybe then they’ll learn what truly matters, that’s if they make it out alive
if you make more reactions to lydia the bard PLEASE do megaras villain song its AMAZING and if you"re ever confused about the story she always explains it in her description!😁
3:13 mad·ri·gal: a part-song for several voices, especially one of the Renaissance period, typically unaccompanied and arranged in elaborate counterpoint.
I'm in choir, and usually, the voices with different parts are how many parts there are. So like, the whispers in the final bit of the video would be called 4-part because Lydia is playing the other 3 Mirabel verses in the background + Mirabel singing her 4th verse. I've also heard it referred to as 4-part harmony, which I think would be harmony given it's all in sync, but I'm not entirely sure about that. Hope that makes sense and you all have a good day! (And if anyone wants to pitch in please do! I'm not perfect, after all.)
Wow. That was best villain song (though Meg's comes a pretty close second). I just how picturing what the story would have been like if Mirabel truly did allow the darkness to consume her after dealing with generational trauma for years from her own family - as well as practically being neglected from the villagers. The darkness being her only true companion, and turned her into the one that destroyed the magic. Though I wish Mirabel told off all of her family members; saving her grandmother for last. If Disney actually did that, made the protagonist become the villain...that definitely would have been something different. I guess we'll just have to wait until FanScription comes up with one.

@@xXWinter67Xx I honestly wish we can get a Cinderella 3 twist in time moment were we revisit Encanto but have it go down another path, it would still end in a happily ever after with everyone realizing their mistakes but it be cool to see how this show could have gone, it is a mix of mental trauma and toxic family trauma so it had a tons of ways it could of resolved itself into the same passive recovering ending.
I just wanna say that I’m super happy seeing one of your videos again, you were a huge part of my childhood for both me and my brother since like 2018 or 2019 maybe? I don’t remember lol but seeing you again gives me a huge hit of nostalgia ❤️🔥🫶
hello choir person here the part of the song you hear multiple parts at once is called a cannon but when they go off at different times but the melody mashes together perfectly hope that helps
To be honest it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Meribel became a/the villain, and I wouldn’t blame her. With all the crap that she’s had to put up with, not just from the entire village but from her own family too. All because she didn’t get a gift from that stupid candle. (I get why it was done, so don’t reply back to explain why) Her grandmother and sister were a-holes, her parents and other sister were useless, her aunt, uncle, and cousins were all cowards… I’m surprised that she held it together for that long. So again I wouldn’t blame her for getting revenge on her ‘family’
This might be a premonition of what mirabel would have done if she felt rather mad than guilty for her family or it could be what if Bruno was never found in the movie
Just came across this cover artist and was looking for reaction videos! She has quite a few, Moana: How Far I'll Go, Meg. And rapunzel's would be great to see your reaction for! Oh, and theyv make their own alternate story to explain how they became villains in the description.
Love this song. But let’s be honest. Mirabel had an outburst in the movie. While it absolutely should have happened cuz there’s no way anybody could take such treatment from own family. There’s no way Mirabel would kill her parents, Antonio and Bruno(Felix also). Since they were always supportive of her.

The different parts sung all at once is called a Madrigal! It's clever to include and I love that Encanto did it.
Ay, I'm glad Lydia is getting more recognition! Thanks for watching!

The best about what this is that you could see this having actually happened and fit into the story
She also made a frozen Anna villan animation

There is only one that wasn't a problem. It was Antonio because he was a child he couldn't do anything
@@arccedar1132
Yeah. He was the only innocent one. The rest...they claimed to love Mirabel, but never stood up for her.
@@M.W.K6996 inaction is still an action
3:15 that syle of singing is called a Madrigal
that sound of music is called a madrigal
3:26 :it's called a Madrigal
The Anna villain song is pretty awesome as well!
Fun fact about all the different parts at once from a choir kid: it’s actually called a Polyphony. Figured I’d answer, since you asked!
She should totally watch ALL the other ones in the Disney princesses into villains series from Lydia the Bard!
Lydia does other songs like this video if you're interested
Yoooooo you know Lydia is blowing up when other content creators you watch see it.
Honestly a villain Mirabel is the one that I think has the most evidence for it actually being possible.
I hope you consider watching other songs by Lydia she is amazing

[intro]
We don't talk about bruno no no no
We don't talk about bruno
But
[Verse 1]
You made him walk away
He left himself, or so you say
But I've heard another take
You hide in your storm and close off from the rain
But don't see the damage in your wake
From bruno that you turn on me
He whisper as if i don't see
The fear, the dread, of what I'll be
[Chorus]
But we don't talk about bruno no no no
We don't talk about bruno
[Verse 2]
Every sound you heard but your silence was deafening
Each desibel dismissible to save yourself from meddling
Or maybe you're to scared to make a sound at all
Don't stand and rock the boat or you'll risk going overboard
Let the others down before you reach to pull them back ashore
Well now the boat's sinking and everyones going down
[Verse 3]
A constant sign of all that you lack
She's a curse
Shes to blame
So quick, turn your back
Well im done playing nice
So maybe think twice when you
[Chorus]
don't talk about bruno no no no
We don't talk about bruno
[Verse 4]
Flowers bloom when you walk in a room
But i see all the thorns that you hide
Poison rose, you might think no one knows
But i see right through your disguise
I suffered all this heartache
I sacrificed for your sake
As you ruled and you reigned from above
Well now my pain is ending
I'm done with this pretending
Finally free from chasing your love
Free from your love!
[Verse]
Time to bring this family down
Yeah im the villain in your fairytale now
The sands run out
And there's just you to blame
How's it feel to stain your family name?
I'll reclaim for all that i lost
See you understand what your apathy cost
It's your end of days and i'll still hear you say
[Chorus]
We don't talk about bruno no no no
Should've talked about bruno
The part that you’re referring to with several different layered voices is called a “polyphonic melody”
The overlapping song types. in both versions of the song is called a Magargal which is why Disney named the family the Magargal
I absolutely love this song, I listen to it almost everyday XD
the original or the villain cause both are great
@@Starstruck930 The villain >:) but yes I agree, both songs are awesome

It's called a harmony when people sing different lines or play different notes all at the same time
It's called Harmony.
It's called a madrigal.
