I'm not sure if you are active in responding to comments, but I been looking everywhere online for the exact distance from the nut to the start of 5th position. The site in your description is great for everything, but its missing 5th. Mind helping me out on the exact distance of a 4/4 violin nut to the start of 5th.
I don't have an exact distance since all violins are made differently there may be slight variations for each one.

@@Violinspiration I found out my irritating electric is in fact a 7/8ths.... So I will not be using that as doing some practice on that really is not going to help.

Hey Julia, When do u recommend taking off the stickers?? I did remove the 2rd and 3rd fingers and having difficulty distinguishing the pitch. What should I do????!!😣

What size violin is this for?
When I play on the E string, an A comes out in the tuner but if I play the A string, an E comes out in the tuner. And if I play the first finger on the A string, a F#4 appear. Help!!! :(

Will that mater much if the tuning is not on on green but a little lower? Cz my pegs are slippery.
Yes, it will definitely matter. Your violin should definitely be in tune before you put the tapes on. If it is not, the tapes will be in the wrong place.😮
this can be also applied to 3/4 violin? how can I measure if not?

Is the measurement the same for a smaller violin?
No, it's different for smaller size than 4/4th violin. In that case, make sure to check where the notes are (B, C# and D) and place the stickers there. Good luck! :)
Julia have you experienced that some full size violins don’t exactly work with those exact mm measurements? I find when I have mine tune as perfectly as I can, the first tape on 36 mm is a bit too sharp. It is giving me this reading with the TE Tonal energy tuner. A few mm back and it’s spot on. I’m confused
That may have to do with faulty build on the body/neck but put the tape where it sounds right in any casw
The best probably would be to check your violin with a luthier and see if any adjustment is needed

Hey, i was using Datuner Lite and when i played a B (first finger on the A string) the tuner said that it was a false A, and it only tunes the open strings
I just realized your measurement is a bit different from the other youtube video i saw? Am i missing something? :o
it can be a little bit different on each violin, that's why we are checking it with a tuner afterwards :)

Isn't 4th Finger's Tape Needed?
Some people use fourth finger tape and some do not. It is nice to have, but certainly not needed. For the lower strings, GDA fourth finger, you can use the next open higher string to check that you are playing in tune. The fourth finger on the G string, is D. So play the open D string to hear if you are playing it correctly. And so on for the D and A. Obviously this does not work for the E string. Does that make sense?

No nO no nono stickers -The tape is visual and the ear is rthe tuner from the start
not typical to see a measuring tape in the USA that measures 2 21/32 not a good vid, rulers don't have that increment
