I now have very good friends there and even a 'family' who basically adopted me. I wish the entire world could experience the warmth and acceptance I have received from Latino families in every country I have visited.
It's amazing how much Lorraine looks like her Mama!! Gorgeous ladies!!! It's wonderful to see you with your family. Nothing like being with those you love. I live 2000 miles from my brothers and parents. I miss them so so much!!
What great family that shows up and starts helping. It's so much more fun working together whether it's in the kitchen or the garden. The scenes of tia and madre helping in the kitchen filled me with contentment. Don't get me wrong, it isn't because I think that's where the women go! I'm a happy cook myself. It's just the happy conversation while working. Doing it alone is great, it's fun to cook and create in the kitchen, but having willing help and joyous conversation while you do it is wonderful.
California Grown!😍 I'm ready to move. People aren't going to like that. I'm growing food for others. I'm not a Techy. I don't have millions. I have little thousand. So happy for you guys.
How fun, family visiting...anyone familiar is such a comfort. After 49 years in So Cal, moving to the mountains of NC was a culture shock a few years ago. It is so beautiful to watch how you guys have acclimated and bless others with your inspiration, knowledge, and sense of humor. Need that now more than ever.

Hard to believe how fast they have grown the past couple of weeks. And still they have a good friendly attitude. Well fed, moved around, environmental entertainment and good owners really shows when it comes to how social a pig is. Hope you had a wonderful Father's Day!

Lots of farmers don't name their food animals; but choosing to call them relative names like brothers (or is the monastery names?) could make it even hardly on butchering day. Also nice to have family visit for a good meal from the land followed by a game of chicken wrangling. LOL
