The gravely nature of his voice makes him fit really well with that noir type of scenario, and he paced his words/kept his tone consistent VERY well for not being a professional actor. If he had a good script and a talented director or voice director, I could see him actually excelling in a mystery story in any medium.
Additionally: HELLA props to the artist for the manga style scene. Legit would love to read a story with this style.
Yeah Belmond sounds a looot like Akio Otsuka to be honest. I can totally see him taking on the same voice acting roles as him.

Deep voices seem to be one of Sukoya's weaknesses. I remember when she did a scene with Ange & I'm pretty sure she was left swooning by the end.
But, then again, Ange's voice can leave anyone swooning.

Just like Shinsui from Bleach.
Voices like those has a seriousness inside but also they act so calm and cool and funny during talks with people etc.
They have mysterious and serious personality mostly. Thats why I love them.
He does sound quite a bit similar to Akio Ōtsuka, the voice actor who voices Shunsui lol. Such a badass voice.
