I am a huge fan of what you are doing. As an educator in a small, rural school it is a breath of fresh air to see someone taking a more sarcastic and realistic approach to the education process as a whole. Breaking that mold of the stagnant, boring institutionalized teaching. I also love the fact that you really push the use of technology and podcasts. I highly recommended you to my principal to use the educator videos during some of our PD meetings
I swear to goodness I learn more from the internet than I did in school. It’s a shame they didn’t teach this in in my school . Just started watching your videos.
the way you teach is highly commendable. I've wasted whole my day in the search of good source to cover this topic finally, I got into your channel now things get easier for me. love you bro.
Rock on brother man. I know PD meetings have killed teachers, I am always reminded of what most kids go through all day when I am sitting in a PD session.
Got to see the big bat! Lol! I love how laid back and in your element you are in your obvious mastery of the subjects. THAT'S what spotlights your passion! How dam fiery! Thanx for the great vids.
Teddy Roosevelt, a Progressive Republican, the Square Deal: 1. Sherman Anti-Trust Act: break up Monopolies. 2. Hepburn Act, using the ICC (Interstate Commerce Commission), sets limits on railroad fees. 3. Upton Sinclair's novel, The Jungle, leads to the Meat Inspection Act, the FDA, and Consumer Protection. 4. Conservation, National Parks. Labor: arbitration with miners, collective bargaining.
That is b/c there is always government, so naturally when one has capital and influence that take advantage of those connection. That is why we need a government by the people in an even more direct way, to regulate those interests. Not communism, just smart regulation to ensure opportunity and fairness. The alternative is some kind of libertarian utopia where somehow those with influence won't use it b/c its a free market which controls itself. Mad respect my friend we just have different lens
I was taught in APUSH that the party leaders placed TR as McKinley's VP because, as governor of New York, he tended to disagree with major Republican party platforms; so, the party leaders placed him as VP to get him away from the governorship. That backfired on that pretty fast, didn't it?
Just like the Book series _________ For Dummies "Video Game Coding For Dummies" as a specific example. I'm not roasting at all, but Who remembers "The Drew Carrey Show"? He reminds me of a Young Drew Carry
Teddy roosevelt is not a crucial president like Lincoln or fd roosevelt or Reagan but he was sooo important. He renewed América and put the basis for xx century
I see both sides. And gentlemen, you both have assholes but neither of you are one. What if someone in the system brings in enormous capital into the system... inherits it, banks it, steals it, whatever... what is to stop that individual from undercutting the competition and building a monopoly? We don't start capitalism with equality and ideas always win the day......
Wow, congratulations on commenting on something almost COMPLETELY irrelevant to the video, and most definitely and completely irrevelant to my comment.

Nine years later and your still helping kids pass classes, especially during finals week.
Rock on brother man. I know PD meetings have killed teachers, I am always reminded of what most kids go through all day when I am sitting in a PD session.
What are those? Idk what they are. :/
Thanks Keith! My boys are going to do a brief overview of Muckracking and the Square Deal tomorrow-your video will be part of that!
Thank you so much. This saved my test score.

One of the greatest pieces of legislation in American history🔥🔥🔥
My hair is dripping with all this knowledge

you should make a video about how to make video like what kind of camera you use or the type of editing software you use
just came out of Alabama Public school into a good private school after 2+1/2 years in high school. I wish our PS was better.
Stop calling me a dummy. :(
- On a serious note, great episode. I always loved early 1900s history.
Perfect timing. Just reached this in APUSHistory.

Everyone seems to forget Taft, who continued in Roosevelt’s footsteps by initiating over 90 antitrust lawsuits during his presidency.
Thanks a lot you rock
Big time. #losing or is it #winning ?
Woah o_O Two seconds after he got off the phone my phone rang....

Are you a college professor or high school teacher?:0
Wait that is a real room and no green screen. cool
And since when do they have hats for one's ass anyhow?
I know this has nothing to do with the video but he really sounds like Mark Hamill
More the Party bosses did. He was Gov. of a really important swing state and they didn't want him taking NY out of play in Presidential Races.
I am wrong? I never made a single claim contradicting what you said in the slightest. If you want to know my actual opinion, I AGREE WITH YOU. -_-
Just like the Book series

"Video Game Coding For Dummies" as a specific example.
I'm not roasting at all, but Who remembers "The Drew Carrey Show"? He reminds me of a Young Drew Carry

Thank you!
+Belinda Phan what about our affair, gorgous babydoll?
Maybe that's the point of PD...they make us feel like students again while some instructor drones on about stuff we sometimes could care less about.
have you ever been told you look like Vir from babylon 5?
why would anyone not like this?
because there stupid
Someone should patent that; it's quite genius, really.
My favorite president of all.
You can call me a dumb dummy!
Teddy roosevelt is not a crucial president like Lincoln or fd roosevelt or Reagan but he was sooo important. He renewed América and put the basis for xx century
He also negotiated the end of the Russo/Japanese War.
Can I call you a smart dummy?
That was weird.
