I am seeing her, Sara Watkins, and Aoife O'Donovan in Kent OH...I can hardly wait. I am 57 and I am as excited to see Sarah as I was the Boss back in the late 70's. These young women in bluegrass/folk are where all the talent, songwriting and musical creativity is coming from these days.
Excellent observation of the Mark Knopfler comparison, definitely right out of that style. Reminds me of Mark playing a very subtle tasty lead behind Eric Clapton's acoustic version of Layla.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Take me back in time again Stay with me like you did then Take me as you find me here Take me now, feel me near Love like I never knew before Someday will fade and be ignored Nothing is forever anymore Wrap me up in quiet sins Take me lost make me found Hold me silent in the night Say I'm wrong make me right Love like I've never knew before Someday will fade and be ignored Slipping through my fingers wanting more Hanging on to every word Whispered as the morning stirs
The guitarist’s touch (which I don’t think is a thing) is just magnificent to me. And in such minuscule bursts! Imagine having that sort of ability and feeling inside you and only releasing it like you would the air out of a balloon, w/pursed fingers…crazy! I love it!
If anyone out there could take on the monumental task of writing out what she's playing on guitar I would be forever grateful... The internet has one tab to offer as far as I can tell and it couldn't be more wrong :(
the tabs on the web start with G#m but if you'll notice she has a capo on 4th doing an Em. Em shape bar-4th is in fact a G#m. maybe the rest of the tab just needs to be converted? i will give it a try.
I'm new to playing acoustic guitar. Is there a way to describe this picking/strumming style that Sarah is doing here? Is this a form of Travis Picking? Thanks in advance.
anyone have the tab chords for this? i can see 50% of what she's doing. she obviously has a capo on the 4th doing an Em walk up to a C. there's a D somewhere and cant make out the bar chords.
idk if you are complaining about the electric in general but the album track has this arrangement and she plays electric solo on the last track. So its what she wants, not just for this video

one of the all-time greats
What I (as a sound engineer) like about these roots/Americana recordings is that they know how to capture the total sound with just a single mic.
Tradition & practicality. ;-)
One of the best live versions of this that I've seen. Jedd (guitarist) does a great job with the solo and his tone is perfect for the song.

I agree! So subtle and haunting.
Discovered this sweet voice on Apple Music. Beautiful song!
Such a true and honest sound. Young Sarah Jarosz is the real deal.
She's still the real deal.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

this song used to play every day at my work...i love it
Consistently impressed by Sarah, her playing and her songs. Well done on the accompaniment guys!
Maybe her most beautiful video so far and a stunning performance
Just gotta love that girl

I named my car after Sarah Jarosz and friends--IMWTHHR. What a star. . .But everyone in this trio is wonderful.
Jedd and Sarah - 2 of the most talented musicians , singers , songwriters
I'm seeing her tonight! Can't wait.
Just heard her online with David Crosby. What a pretty voice - and this tune is beautiful.
What a beautiful song. Every word, every note. Harmonies are haunting.
Amazing! One of my favorite songs off the new album!
I'll never get tired of this one. Gorgeous.

Love this song. Very nice harmony and beautiful, elegant guitar accompaniment.
Love these fretboard live videos
beautiful.. simply beautiful..
Very fine. Thank you.
Saw her in Portland the night before. Excellent!
I saw you there!
Beautiful song done well with a soft feeling and strong emotion. Most enjoyable
Wonderful
The tone on Jedd's tele is magical.
Congratulations on your Grammy!!1
Mighty fine !!
People who’ve bothered to signal that they don’t like this really should explain what’s not to like
She's oh so very good.
For me, Sarah is right up there with Alison Krauss and Patty Loveless. Every now and then a real standout shows up
Pure...
Beautiful, elegant.
ahh so good
Hello does anybody know where I can find a guitar lesson to play this song? Thanks
That Telly is EPIC.
Superb. Very like Simon and Garfunkel? Peter Turner, England.
Wow.......
I love your music! So nice to mellow out on and just be. I have a 2014 D1A and the top isn't near the amber color yours is! ???
Nice one.
I really love your voice :) love from Malaysia ❤
Dope
Prashant Samlal overused word
couldn't care less
Reminds me of Gillian Welch...nice.

Full screen, HD, slow motion - and try to figure it out by yourself. These are just the simple chords with some ornaments.

Jedd's playing makes me think he's listened to a Mark Knopfler album or two.
My thoughts exactly. Especially that tasteful lick at 2:19. Just beautiful touch.
Un-Fucking-Believable.
fucking tab please!
Lovely.. but ditch the electric guitar!
idk if you are complaining about the electric in general but the album track has this arrangement and she plays electric solo on the last track. So its what she wants, not just for this video
