Sarah Jarosz is my niece and I have watched her sing and play since the beginning... she was awesome then and she just keeps getting better and better 🎼🥁💕
Just listened to this for probably the 50th time…. still blows me away. The clever soulful lyrics, her angelic voice, the perfect blend of the three instruments…. wow.
She writes like bob Dylan but she can sing and she's way better looking. She is already an American master and she's still a baby. It's a beautiful song masterfully performed by all - Bravo -
Driving through endless roling hills with the top down.....wind in my hair...radio playing. Who am I kidding ...just sitting behind my PC dreaming away
I've been a musician for 31 years, and this is one of the best and most beautiful songs I've heard in all that time. I never knew who you were before today, but now you have a new fan. Have a great life. Happy New Year. 🙂
@@xiyx9748 I've never heard of Buckethead before. I listened to that song (if you want to call it a song). I found it very simplistic, repetitive, and juvenile, and I didn't hear anything in it that impressed me at all, and certainly nothing that a seven year-old, beginner guitar player couldn't pull off in about 5 minutes. When I say it sucked, that's really an understatement. On the other hand, it takes actual talent to write, play, and sing a song like the Sarah Jarosz song we're commenting on here. I can't see how anyone in their right mind could say that it was "average junk", with a straight face. I guess we all have different tastes. As someone who's been writing and playing music for now 35 years, I can say without question, hesitation, or reservation, that yours sucks, if you don't like this song, and you do like the Buckethead song. Nothing personal. Just a difference of opinion...and obviously, a difference of experience. 😎🎸
Yesterday I did not know that Sarah Jarosz even existed. Stumbled upon a TH-cam video of her NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Wonderful sound. Watched everything I could find on TH-cam. Best yet, I learned she is coming to Seattle in August and I wasted no time - Bought my tickets.

Your eyes tell the whole story. Most important, Jerry and Alison are there for you. You, are the artist of this, and, you are extraordinary. I continue to follow you. Thank you.
One of her most beautiful songs! I just can't enough of this amazing artist! I feel so blessed just to hear her voice. What a treasure she is. So talented.
What a beautifully crafted piece. Sublime in the simplicity and yet so rich in textures and sounds.... this young ensemble reveals a remarkable coalescence of refined talent well beyonf their years.
@@babewebster Heartfelt💓 It keeps me going. No matter what mood I’m in, no matter where I am. When the urge comes, I have to turn on that playlist and have an eargasm. I’m one of those people who listen to music on earphone Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?
I normally like R & B but woke up with my TV on PBS and heard Sarah singing this song and wow! Amazing, such peace and beauty this song emotes. I'm her oddest fan!
I love her music as well! I discovered her because of the I'm With Her trio. Since you like Sarah's music, I would highly recommend checking out Sara Watkins, the Punch Brothers, and Nickel Creek. All of them have a similar style of music and cross multiple genres.
Discovered this because I let TH-cam run on from Transatlantic Sessions Joan Osbourne St.Teresa. I had a few wines and was lying on my bed and suddenly Sarah popped up.. woah!
This song, recording and this video in particular gives me chills. All three of these musicians are awesome. I hope they work together for a long time- they sound just perfect together.
For some 40 years i have been a lover of rock music. Sarah takes me back to the original days when I played folk music. Just me and my acoustic guitar. Simply beautiful.
You have caught the attention of every soul stumbling on this song by chance either from Spotify or TH-cam. Amazing voice and really original talents with just 3 of you playing this beautiful simple song which we even after playing number of times still want to replay.
Complex picking patterns, complex chord progressions, complex timing... this is making bluegrass better. Billy Strings, AJ Lee, they are all doing it now.

It is delightful to find a voice and her friends playing music that is so soothing to the soul... All keep it up! Cheering from the Canadian part of our planet...
I'm late to the party as usual. Really nice! Creative instrumentation, writing, arranging. A little folk, a little country (the good kind), and lots of heart and soul. People still make great music! Thanks!
My son started playing this from his laptop and it caught my attention. It has to be a really good tune for a song to catch my attention. I stopped what I was doing and asked what is this beautiful song? It has a wonderful melody, very good lyrics, and overall good feeling about it. It reminds me of driving through the country side with the top down. (i think someone said it further below.) I guess we got the same vibes from listening to this song. Great work Sarah!!!
My brother put some Spotify playlist while we were playing a boardgame and this song started playing. It instantly grabbed my attention and I listen to it since then.
Absolutely fantastic song and magical performance. Sarah I know it's next to zero chance for us too see in Moscow but anyway, warmest greetings from here

All the times I've listened to it, I'm still not sure if it's a song written to a lover or a song written to God. Works each way on entirely different levels. Which is pretty cool. A lot of people try to do this, but it's pretty rare to actually pull it off.
A pretty, inspiring and uplifting song indeed. I wonder if the kind of woman who would sing such a beautiful song still exists in this country today - all of the Pink Pussy Hats and MeToo Feminazi types on the planet not withstanding? Thank You for the delightful song Sarah Jarosz. I am inspired. Cheers.

Love it! Thanks for all of your music! You’re fabulous! Your writing is incredible and your voice is gorgeous! This is the first song of yours I heard a few years ago. I still come back often.
I'll be seeing Sarah in concert in a couple of weeks. I have a funny feeling that people like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and other pop stars wish they could release music like this and stay popular. I also have a feeling that if either of them released a song this good, the public would want more. Remember, we used to be the culture of Simon & Garfunkel, Carole King, Phoebe Snow, Yes, CSN, etc. What I wouldn't give for that to happen again.

Nathaniel Smith on Cello has now moved on to play with Kacey Musgraves, but Sarah will undoubtedly get a player as good, if not better. She is probably the best alternative folk artist for the last 50 years.

She is a force of nature. God definitely touched her
Marc, she is great but not so much without the original boys. That was a sound never to be duplicated.
Aslong as mark here didn't 😒

10 years one of my absolute favorites
Build me up from bones
Wrap me up in skin
Hold me close enough to breathe me in
The moon's a fingernail
Scratching on the back
Of the night in which we lay beside
I held every inch of you
I wrote every line for you
I made time when time was all but gone
You're the love I've always known
The night's so dark and grey
But you've helped me find my way
Through the wild and wonders of this world
So take me with you now
I need to show you how
I can love you better than before
I held every inch of you
I wrote every line for you
I made time when time was all but gone
You're the love I've always known
Play it sweet and low
We've got no where to go
I am yours and you're the love I know
thank you for the lyrics
