Beautiful spot, the area looks great. Thanks for the video guy's, very informative as usual. The caravan parks look pretty specky. Thanks heaps, safe travelling and blessings for the new year.
Glad you listed the tractor stuff, Dunleith now goes on to my blacklist and probably onto many other caravaners also the highway cop that patrols S/W rocks is pretty ferocious
I love that stretch of coast from Cresent head to SWR . And Arakoon national park at trial bay is really nice. At Smokey cape that is a area where grey nurse sharks go to breed
We did our lap in 2009 and were blown away with the beauty of the North and South Coast of NSW to the level of I rated it it above WA’s coast and I am also from WA originally. Interested to hear your thoughts? 👍
That is a hard one, WA and NSW coastlines all.have their pro's and con's.... sunsets over the water of WA are hard to beat but the NSW water is quite beautiful..... hard call, ha ha. I think WA may be up there with the more remote and not as populated.... also way more free camps 😎🍻
@@DucruznOZ yep agreed……It was a costly and extended time we spent on the NSW coast we always got trapped by the caravan parks offering the old stay for three pay for two etc. 😂👍
I also got pulled over, around where you were, for a rod holder on my bull bar. I didn’t get fined as it was brand new and I told the cop that I had only just put it on and they’re sold as bull bar rod holders but he did give me a defect notice which meant I had to go to a mechanic and get a pink slip and then go the the NSW RTA. Very dull. I think he just wanted to use his V8 engine and flashing lights and drive at 130 kmh chasing me with my caravan on.

Weird how the youtube algorithm works.. i come across ur video and it happens to be a video of where i live/grew up.. mermaid pools is ok and looking at the swell in the background it looked fine to be there, the sign is just for liability purposes because earlier in the year a 52yr old and his son were spearfishing around that area, both were washed up the rocks and the 52 year old got swept back in was never found again from memory. as for the rod holder thing.. a local cop used to book people all the time for it, he was a senior sergeant and was fanatical about rules and regulations, ive never heard of people getting booked for it anywhere else but SWR seems to be just about the only place. glad you enjoyed ur stay.
oh wow, what a great place to grow up, such beautiful coastline. We would have gone to Mermaid Pools but were with older family that weren't too keen on it :( rules are rules as far as the rod holders go, sucks but it is what it is..... thanks for watching :)
At home in Qld pretty sure they are legal as long as there are rods in them. I got done a couple of years ago around the same area you did. Appealed it and got a pretty quick response of you should know the road rules of which ever state you drive in, pay up!

Nice of you to contribute to the local economy. It's a bit of a shame that ratepayers in this Shire all contribute to the nice stuff on the coast, but only a select few, and visitors, get to appreciate and enjoy it. It's a lovely valley though, even if it is not represented accurately in this vid. safe travels.
Thanks for the feedback, but we are trying to understand how we didn't represent this place accurately?? We absolutely love this area and will definitely be back in the future 😎😎
@@DucruznOZ I just wrote a very long and detailed reply, and managed to lose it to the ether. So, essentially, my points were that the coastal areas of this valley are subsidised by the upriver communities, who see no improvements such as a pedestrian bridges with amenities for swimmers. Our roads, bridges and services are a disaster area and cost the people who live out here a small fortune just to travel into town for supplies or work. It's a two tier system that promotes and builds infrastructure in the coastal villages whilst ignoring the needs of inland residents until they can claim disaster funding to do obvious and necessary repairs. Hi, from the information I have gleened about the rod holders, there must be a maximum of 4 holders and if attached to the bull bar, it must not obstruct the driver. So should be on the left hand side. It is OK to have them attached when actually being used to hold rods.
I guess put rod holders on left side and inside off the bull bar , then they don't obscure the driver and not in front as a weapon , will do that with mine 😉
Yeah that is the go, my bullbar is too thick for a normal rod holder mount so I fabricated one to go in the middle.... they are just just ornaments to go in the shed, ha ha

Or maybe the copper was just doing his job. The driver himself says he knew he wasn't supposed to have them on. Pass the tissues, at least he has accepted the fine with some grace.
Anyway, you should have known better than to have rod holders on the bull bar, it has been illegal for years, even in WA.
Totally correct, lesson learnt :(
