You know it's gets bad when you start saying at least I seen it. I've had days at Achray with as many dropped runs, gets frustrating but you just gota keep persisting. Great video as usual lads 👍🏻🎣
@Angling 360° nae bother. I’ve heard that rainbows can be a bit dead bait happy on other waters. I guess if it keeps happening put a small bait on one of the rods just to see. Of course you’re still targeting pike officially😉

Menteith really is a stunning water. Fished a couple of PAAS days on there a good few years back.
This was our first deadbaiting session, and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait for the next one. Never had much luck with lures or the fly.........yet.

Thats the brutal part fishing trout waters the trout are usually more up for it than the pike 😂 good video lads on to the next 💪

What TC is your rods m8 they look far to light and that could be your problem with setting the hooks ?
I'm sure Alex's rods are 3lb tc and 3.45tc, mine are only 2.75tc and I had a decent hook up rate, I'm 99% certain it was rainbow trout.
