We all need to ask the question , are we in Love with Jesus or the worlds holidays , i remember when i truly got born of Gods Spirit in 1991 , Christmas was a big let down because most people that make such a big deal about Christmas where not born of Gods Spirit . 1John 2 . I sat on my kitchen floor crying and praising God for saving a wretch like me wile the world went on about its business. Those of you that dont know if your saved , call on Jesus today and he will free you from your weight of sin , sin is heavy . Jesus says, "Take his yoke His load is easy and his burden is light.

Christmas, is just a renaming of the Christ-Mass, a ritual that the Roman Catholics perform on Dec. 25th. I no longer participate. As a believer my lifestyle represents and celebrates Christ Jesus every day, and I repent whenever I fall short of His standards. I pray we all will represent our Lord and Savior in these dark times.

      That’s not true.
This is the only time I disagree with Voddie.
Anyone can connect paganism with anything Christian, and you know what?
They’re all pagan sources. Do you honestly think there is truth in any of this?
Satan is always looking to counterfeit Christ, never the other way around.
I’m not a Catholic, and I have no time for their teachings.
But I do defend Christmas for what it actually is.
      Read Colossians 2:16
Know the difference between what we celebrate, and what we worship.
      They’re not conflated.

No, everyone continues to sin even after being saved (Romans 7). We are saved by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. It's Jesus Christ's perfect obedience and atoning death that makes the believer righteous before God.@@QuietlyContemplating

This says it all. Love the world or love the true and living God. You can’t do both.
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?“

God cares about how he is worshiped. It’s about how He says to and not how the heathen worship their idols (Lev. 10 & 20, Deu. 18). For those who have decided to celebrate Christmas, you need to ask some questions. Where in scripture do we have the example to celebrate Jesus' birth? To celebrate it once a year? Why on December 25th? Why name this day after a false religion’s ceremony (Christ’s Mass)? Why bring a fir tree into your home and then decorate it? Why exchange gifts? Is this the extent of what is “Christian” about this holiday? Why not celebrate with Santa, elves, and reindeer? How about mistletoe, wreaths, and Yule logs? (Who is Yule anyway?) How is one to know what is pleasing to God and what is not? If one wants to celebrate Christmas they should be honest and say it’s because they want to. Don’t hide behind Christianity because there’s nothing in God‘s word to use for cover.

Amen! We are to worship God the way that He wants us to. It's a personal relationship between you and the Lord. Just think about even when the golden calf was made and the people thought that they were worshipping God. "And the Lord said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
      -- Exodus 32:7
They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
      -- Exodus 32:8
Ask and pray to God what you should do, but don't follow the people just because everyone else is doing it.
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
      -- Colossians 2:8

The people worshipped "it" not God. They did not think they were worshipping the One True God on the mountain. This argument for idols just simply falls short of meaningful dialogue about this topic. No one is worshipping anyone but Jesus who truly know Christ during Christmas.
There are better arguments against Christmas, but this is not it.@@shawnbrown742

Everyone has their opinion, and I respect yours. Just as I hope that you would respect mine. To me, it is relevant. Whether it is directly relevant to you pertaining to idols, which I agree. It may also have a passive relevance, or some would say a deeper meaning, to the fact that the people of Isreal "thought" they were worshipping God but they were merely worshipping him as they wanted to. Compare it to the mingling that we now do with santa claus, and our culture thinks that we are worshipping Jesus, The Son of God, by telling lies to our children, making santa into an idol, and mixing pagan rituals. When numerous times, it says throughout scripture to not worship the Lord the way that these people do. May the Lord bless you. Have a great day.
Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.
      -- Deuteronomy 12:30
Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

I don’t like when ppl try to teach some thing else than the cross it’s a clear deception and so dangerous to the soul . My pray is ppl come out from under false teachers . The main problem is churches for too many years sanctified the Christmas that we have. Im not sure exactly how long but it's what about 200 years of tradition? The way that people like to celebrate things? How do you all of sudden take that away? It's very difficult. My wife and I adjusted pretty quickly. Our boys were very young and they trusted us. We still bought them some things but they knew who it came from and why they were getting what they got. We didn't spoil what others did but we didn't justify it.

I agree with what you have stated, but the evidence of the early church celebrating Christmas, the birth of Christ Jesus. Is there ANY evidence of that event celebrating His birth? It is totally up to each believer whether he or they will celebrate the birth. Even if NO evidence exists, yes, one can still celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I have chosen to celebrate the birth as I pick the day since there is no actual day or month… the whole month of December, or better, the month of October 1980, is the month of my rebirth.

I believe as Christians what should matter most to us is our faith. I dont think we should focus on who started/why/how and all that with regards to Christmas, it is about the miracle it represents and the love of God for us. Christ left his golden throne and came down to earth in simplicity(born in a stable and laid in a manger), "Emmanuel- God is with us". Yes with all the festivities wrapped around Christmas, I focus more on the important things such as the coming together of families, sharing gifts and spending quality time together above all sharing Love which comes from the joy and happiness of the presence of our Savior in our lives. The message is to not forget what matters most and remember within this time to take a moment of solitude and reflect on what God did for us.

Christ is to be honored each day. Christmas is a doctrine of men, not biblical and not on December 25th. which we are warned in scripture to avoid. Many say but it’s the birth of Christ we are celebrating this day and that’s the important thing. Those that think that way where you mix the Lord with the world….what was God’s reply when Aaron made a gold calf while Moses was in the mountain with God and said we will offer up an offer to God
Exodus 32:1-9 NASB95 - Now when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people assembled about Aaron and said to him, “Come, make us a god who will go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” 2 Aaron said to them, “Tear off the gold rings which are in the ears of your wives, your sons, and your daughters, and bring them to me.” 3 Then all the people tore off the gold rings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took this from their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool and made it into a molten calf; and they said, “This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.” 5 Now when Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow shall be a feast to the LORD.” 6 So the next day they rose early and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.
7 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, “Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. 8 They have quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them. They have made for themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it and have sacrificed to it and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, who brought you up from the land of Egypt!’” 9 The LORD said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and behold
Because we put some gold coating on things, does not make it acceptable to our Lord. What would you think if we celebrated your birthday when ever we chose to, not when you actually were born.

    • @AlwaysReforming1
      @AlwaysReforming1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Israel was actually worshipping the calf, not God. They created their own god. This is not remotely equivalent.

Can we not say in Exodus 24:10 Moses, Aaron, Nada and Abihu & 70 elders saw the God of Israel ( maybe Jesus) and under His feet was a pavement of sapphire? Do we not have the story of Jacob wrestling with God; again, maybe Jesus in bodily form - Genesis 32:22-32.
So, it would be an interesting study to do to see if all these occurrences these people had was some form of Jesus.

I looked up the suffix (mas). It means an appointed holiday. The prefix is Christ. The meaning of the Word is literally Christ's Holiday. X is a symbol of Satanism, look up it's meaning. Even though the customs are Pagan and we can throw all kinds of Scriptures to the argument. Bottom line, the Gospel is preached. The Name Christmas means Christ's Holy Day. The Devil tried snuffing it out by replacing Christ with an X, his mark. The Devil wars against The Day. In my heart I can say that Romans 14 applies. Careful of our consciousness and watch our own souls. God's Grace is sufficient. We worship Jesus the Christ of Nazareth and we all have our sins forgiven by His Blood. ❤❤❤

If celebrating the birth of our savior goes against your conscience then you shouldn't do it. I am going to continue to celebrate my Savior's birth and proclaim to the world the miracle of the second person of the Trinity coming to us as a little baby who grew up and sacrificed His life to reconcile us to a Holy God. Thank you Jesus. I will also continue to celebrate His resurrection on Easter.

Santa has the same letter has Satan there is no way on the planet that this holiday is to celebrate the birth of JESUS no where in the Bible does it tells us Dec 25 is His birthday, this is a pagan holiday Jeremiah 10 please read.

No one is even slightly defending santa on this channel or this thread. Its not about the 25th or ancient holidays that were called something else. The focus is on Jesus Christ's advent and His victory. That is the theme of this channel. Christians have redeemed this day to celebrate the greatest gift of Christ given to the world. You can choose to not celebrate, and I won't judge you. Thanks for the reply.

RideWithChrist3-7, Jeremiah 10 verses 1 to 5 in the King James Version is correct; however, the NIV and the other (new) versions changed the word "axe" to "chisel" and the word "tree" to "image" or "pole."

Y'all getting mad about the lights and presents and music of Christmas have a narrow view. God sent an army of angels, high level dignitaries, and groups of workmen, (some carrying expensive presents) to celebrate the Incarnation. We should follow the pattern.
Mourn on Good Friday. REJOICE on Christmas.

Where was Jesus crucified. Was it on a hill like we see pictures of the 3 crosses one in the middle usually taller. No Our Lord Jesus was not even crucified on a hill because there was not one matching the Biblical description for the place of the crucifixion. Jesus was crucified on a mountain. The name of the mountain is Mount Moriah, the same mountain where God told Abraham to sacrifice his son and likely the same place. Genesis 22: 6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. Abraham did not need to lay his son on the wood because, God laid His Son on the wood. Genesis 22: 8 And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself THE LAMB for a burnt offering.”So the two of them went together. Abraham did not have to sacrificed his son, because God sacrificed HIS SON. Abraham brought his son on a donkey and Our God did bring His Son on a Donkey. We see how even here is a fulfilling of the old testament
Reason God wanted Abraham to go Mount Moriah is what Jesus was referring to in John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” Abraham considered that God could raise Isaac from the dead. But God DID raise His Son up from the dead. God did not want to see what Abraham would do, but God wanted to show Abraham what He would do on that same mountain.
The place of Jesus’s crucifixion would have to have been located outside the city in accordance with Roman and Jewish customs of the time. The Gospels, too, seem to suggest that Jesus was crucified outside of the city.
Matthew 27: 39 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.” They were on their way to Jerusalem for the Passover, But did not see that the real Passover Lamb was hanging on that Cross. Jesus Did not eat the Passover lamb because He Was The Passover LAMB.
(Hebrews 13:11-14) The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace that He bore. For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the City that is to come (Hebrews 13:11-14).
The name of place of the Crucifixion was Golgotha, as the Bible tells us, which in Aramaic means “PLACE OF THE SKULL.” The Latin word for skull is Calvaria, The Bible refer to this as site of the crucifixion. If it was a hill like some pictures show, a crowd could not have gathered there.
Where than was it? Read 1 Samuel 17: 53 And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents. 54 And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armor in his tent. David a 17 or 18 year old boy walked a day about 40 KM and carried the scull of Goliath. He placed it outside the city. David would not have been allowed in the city with the scull. It must have been placed on something solid or maybe buried. This place was known to the people as a place of a Scull, This was the providence of God Our Lord. God did not let David a days journey without a purpose.
Criminals were crucified outside the city wall and not carried on a long distance. Where Jesus was crucified must have been a place where a crowd could gather and people pass by, were on their way to the gate of Jerusalem for the Passover. The wall of Jerusalem was behind Him, which made it possible for the people to hear Him speak. There was not a little sign at the Cross but big letters on the wall of Jerusalem 37 And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. Jesus feet must have been not farther from the ground as 3 feet to be able to speak to His Mother and the Disciples. All 3 crosses were the same size Jesus was not counted more worthy than a Criminal. We can conclude from this that: “Place Of A scull” must be where David placed the Scull of Goliath. I personally belief that it was still there and was crushed. Maybe even under the cross so that it signified God’s Word Genesis 3:15, And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your HEAD, And you shall bruise His heels.” The Feet of Jesus were on each side of the cross beam and nails were driven through His Heel(s). The only place in the feet that would break not the bones. The Hebrew word can also mean heels. This HE is Christ The Son Of God No mater what happened to the Scull, Satan’s head was crushed when Jesus said: “IT is finished.”

    Christmas Is Paganism ?

    • @phunter24
      @phunter24 วันที่ผ่านมา

JohnMonk-p2v, the word "Christmas" literally means "Christ's mass," however, it was not something originally celebrated in the 1st century by Christians. The Roman "Christians" decided to pretend to be worshipping the Roman god Saturn(us) during the pagan festival of Saturnalia which is in December so that the pagan Roman government wouldn't know that these (alleged) Roman Christians were worshipping Jesus. Basically, they mixed the pagan festival with "Christianity." When Christianity was finally legalized in Imperial Rome, the half-converted Roman Christians continued with their pagan Saturnalia festival and called it Christmas. As the centuries passed, more paganism was added, including the flying reindeer which probably came from the flying horses of the Nordic god Odin, and the story of Saint Nicholas was added with (demonic) elves. The tree was used to worship the Roman god Attis and later called a Christmas tree. Almost none of what's done has anything to do with Christ nor did he have a "mass." This is Catholicism adopted by Protestants and others. Some of us (Christians" don't celebrate any of this mess since it doesn't have anything to do with Christ who was born in September or October. Shepherds wouldn't be in the field in Israel during December because it's cold there also during this month.

From what I understand is referred to as 3 and 1 not the Trinity the Bible talks about adding words to the bible. God does not want us to add that information that does not lined up with what his word says the word Trinity that is a word used in the world it is not in the Bible

Christ mass becomes the gods of the New Testament. Christ already died on a tree and hated those grove gods. These pastors need to stop defending a holiday of trees and false idols. God is going to tear his sheep out of their hands. This is why Israel was in captivity for over 2600 years. The fullness of time is obeying the Bible every time. Christmass is not a Doctrine of scripture it’s a man made day for himself to think his worshiping a Holy God. When you mix paganism with righteousness you brake the chain of command of laws and grace. God takes away the reasoning and humans logic is left in the dark.

Jesus's birth has nothing to do with christmas. The word Christmas was used years before Jesus was ever born that word was out there way before he got born so him being born has nothing to do with that word that word doesn't even connect with him. It should be jesus's birth the word Christmas has nothing to do with him because it was out there way before Jesus was even born it's got to do with pagan practices. Has nothing to do with him the word doesn't even connect with him.. we are celebrating his birthday wasn't even on December the 25th that's all wrong in itself and if I understand right from what I have studied and found out the Bible does not say we are to celebrate his birth. And so if that be true then we should not be celebrating his birth because it doesn't say we should. Jehovah witnesses got some of these things right where we the people who think we are doing alright or not
