I swap cancel out of the second skill trigger all the time before the hit lands, the explosion still goes off. I'm so confused how you came to the conclusion that it doesn't.

The part at 2:32 about the second E disappearing if you swap cancel is misinformation. The only reason you are observing that is because swap cancel behave differently when out of combat (idk if it's a common behavior to every resonator but it is the case on Yinlin and Calcharo).
If you're in combat, you can swap cancel the second E anytime you want, and I invite anyone who doubt it (including tenten) to actually test it in combat. Furthermore, at the time code of the video you are not performing a "swap cancel" but a "dash cancel" which behave differently, so maybe it's just a terminology error on your part idk.

@@Susumi... Sorry I got triggered because I lost my 50 50 to calcharo. I already had calcharo and I wouldn't be happy even if I got Encore because she's permanent and yinlin's not. For a f2p, it really suck to lose 50 50 because I'd now need 80 more pulls to guarantee her.
I thinkkk iirc Yinlin's 2nd part of her 2nd Skill cast can be swap cancelled EVEN before hitting the target DURING battle/if there's a target. The example in 2:33 doesn't have a target thats why the animation is cancelled. Same for her Forte, it is swap cancellable if theres a target, but if theres none it won't iirc. This is also the case for Echoes like Dreamless where it doesnt cast full when theres no target but it will if there's a target. But in my experience for Echoe Tempest Memphis, for the Claw part animation where u will get the buff after its two tail whip, its not swap cancellable u need to do the full echoe animation. It is a short animation but still kinda leaves u vulnerable .
Please someone test it im out right now Im not sure of this.

I hope they'll add even just a static training dummy where we can try rotations to specific teams we choose (if there's none) just to experiment rotation (swap cancelling etc) even just a dummy that doesn't attack. Sure it won't be realistic during battle but will be a great help maybe for theorycrafters and just warming up or for muscle memory for new combos/characters.
Yeah you can definitely do this every time, even with a jump (you can swap cancel before it even lands. ALMOST every attack in wuthering waves works like this; when you swap, all the actions that come from that input will still be performed. the main exception i've seen from this is the second half of Danjin's empowered charge attack, where she'll just disappear after the input. if you want to swap cancel danjin charge attack, do it between the first and second half of the charge attack)
@@WeWindows wouldn't mind an option of a dummy but at least for now we can use tower to test if needed. Although I have to agree with swap cancel being kinda inconsistence, for example Thunder Memphis last hit also fizzle out if there's no target.
But I have to say getting Yinlin really open my mind up about non-stop swap cancel combat of WuWA (with HRover/Encore) being incredibly fun instead of the traditional rotation of Buff>SubDPS/Buff>DPS
@@Rezey7930 VERY TRUEE, SAME. Yinlin really introduced me to the Quick Swap Teamcomp as someone who is a Danjin main and played Jiyan sometimes/Hypercarry teams with Moonlit Heron setup. The non stop switching to other characters maximizing the concerto intro and outro s mechanics of the game made me want to play more of the game again when now we're just kind of waiting to hit UL 50 and finished most of the content we can do. Thats why I hope there's no bug where some skill/echoe is intended to be swap cancellable but not right now because of a bug. Swap cancelling feels really smooth in this game, feels nice to do it.
for the second part of her skill, it can be cancelled with her echo, you just need till the end of the skill attack to cancel. However, if you switch cancel to another character when you attack an enemy, Yinlin still perform full attack for her skill even using it at the begining of her second part of the skill.
The full animation of Flutist if you hold it is actually longer than Tempest Mephis. It's not great for her considering 10 concerto energy is achieveable must faster with her basic attack.
Plus missing out on the electro DMG buff that memphis gives you for a few electro hits from the floutist
A lot of swap cancel cannot be done if there is no enemy. Like Yinlin 2nd skill will be continue even after you swap out right after casting if there is enemy.

Honestly speaking after trying the event with encore and yinlin. it feels like its so much simpler as a team cause you just have to mind the swap cancels tho this is only in my opinion. Its like you dont have to mind other variables with the team and it still deals damage although not as much if you do a perfect rotation but just swap canceling each skills, charge attacks, etc. it felt so much simpler

Agree on running Yinlin with havoc rover. So much easier to play than the insanity that is trying to optimize with Calcharo.

You can use any echo as the main echo actually, there is 1 cost echo you can use for mining/gathering 😂
I use thundering mephis because its literally turns yin lin into a carry.
The damage on it is just absurd vs bosses: not much vs hordes but thats not yer problem since she has a ton of aoe in her kit. XD
yes you can always switch to any echo to the main if you want another echo to use. stats and effects don't get affected.

Im running encore yinlin quick swap rn and its pretty hard to get used to because of the amount of possible sequences there are for animation canceling and also especially, the timing at which you do them, i want kuro to add higher fps so it doesnt have to feel as frame perfect😂
Its a hard team but definitely very strong, my encore is built bit my yunlin only has level 20 echos with 39cr and even so im able to get 2 stars in the tower heron with 30s left, a 3 star is possible but i dont have a built yinlin 😢
With her signature she does bonkers high numbers. S+ tier if you have it. It's probably more important to mention in wuthering waves since signature weapons are easier to get than the character (on avg.)
I'm really considering moonlit set given that I have so much electro dmg on that set I stop counting at 7 and just lock the subsequent electro echoes
I’m using it for that reason bro! So hard to get electro flute or bird, but i have several in moonlight. There’s 4 different 3 cost monsters for moonlight you can get. 😊
How come when I try to echo cancel E2 into Flautist, I don't get the explosion part of the E2?

4:05 will this echo lock-on to a target while in combat? If not then I don't think it's that much better then the 4 cost.
If the echo don't lock on to them then it's basically doing nothing since it don't provide any buff on deployment and the concerto energy regen only apply when the attack hit, in combat the enemies move around A LOT

i recommend yinlin and encore pair. its really fun.
For me personally the ability to slot yin lin in literally any team and have her perform is massive. The only other unit that is comparable in that regard in terms of versatility is Verina and we all know how good she is.

I think you have to consume the electromagnetic blasts first. Before you E2 to get the buff.

I need help with choosing Which limited banner weapon should i pick: yinlin’s stringmaster or jiyan’ verdent sumit sword ? I have bother characters as well as encore and calchiro. So either weapon can be uaed on two characters but i dont have enough jade to get both. I would use either a choise from the battle pass weapon or the five star selector for the second choise.
IMO Stringmaster since it also is VERY good for Encore and Encore is pretty good herself. Also the passive will kinda work at least a little bit wiht every character you might use it on in the future.

How is she not perfect with Calcharo since she buff both of his main damage source. The swap penalty is built on Yinlin kit so unless they release an electro character that uses her both buffs like Calcharo but with faster animations, then Calcharo is the best partner for her by a mile. However even that is debatable since quick swap makes your team durable.

she is vulnerable when you do S2 and Max Forte Heavy Attack because of its startup, swapping let's her attack as well as keep her safe from getting attacked. You can swap her out during S2 and Max Forte Heavy and swap her back in to do what you want.
yes, if it can be swap cancelled, it's always better to do it. unless you're swapping to someone who's not good to swap into in specific cases.

I honestly rate YinLin at about the same as Verina in terms of value, might be slightly higher. The thing about YinLin is that she's not only a decent dps herself, she's also an enabler. Any character can be strong if you pair them with YinLin, even support characters due to her Punishment Marks.
She's just a better Mortefi in this sense in my opinion. But if that's the only reason then yes, I'd say she's just around A+ for me. But one thing however. She has the Stringmaster. This is what differentiate her with any other similar resonator in this game. Stringmaster is just outright busted if you use it with her kit. This is what makes Punishment Mark completely outstrips Burning Rhapsody in terms of damage output. It's insane how much dps can Verina or Baizhi can output with Punishment Mark up. If you count everything from how long it takes for her to be in the field, her damage projection (AoE + punishment), her ability to boost other resonators dps even non-electro ones, and her signature weapon, she's definitely at least an S for me.

I think this is best explain with Encore. You'll see her use AoE explosion but stay in place locked into animation, but you can switch out to make her immune from damage on top of dealing damage with 2nd character.
On some hardcore play, if the animation is longer than 1 sec, you can keep the combo of 1st character going while having 2nd character join in for a moment to cast skill or other stuffs then go back to 1st character before the animation end.
Why this is a thing? It's from CBT stuffs. The buff used to persist after swapping.

It's not that she should be used in electro team and even if they release electro dps, her damage in quick swapping team is more so, the outro of yinlin will always be lost.Its not that she'll shine in electro team but any other unit who favors quick swapping . Somebody found that if you use yinlin's outro completely without quick swapping after her outro, she loses 50 perc of the damage potential and its not worth it. Only her outro says that she should be played in electro team and its not optimal.

Must take the recommendations from this channel with a huge grain of salt. He always tries to give a different opinion compare to most of thee people, but sometimes its not very correct. Asking people to use a cost 3 echo as main instead of cost 4 to save a few secs but lose out of 15sec of buff is quite ridiculous imho.

I don't think she is a sub dps. She wants to be on the field too much to be a subdps.
If you do her rotation correctly, she only needs 4~ sec (3.8 according to prydwen)

Calcharo does l;little damage outside of his liberation. His kit acts more like a burst dps than an on field DPS. While yinlin can stay on field even after her liberation and deal the same, if not more damage.
That depends. Literally every character will always do more damage on field, so we gauge character on field damage but exclude off field damage. Then, that will be used to vs other DPS as on field. The one with higher on field damage will be more recommended to stay longer on field.
As example, but we'll ignore punishment mark damage as it can be used by any.
Taoqi deal less damage as on field than Yinlin. In this case, Yinlin is more recommended as on field.
Rover deal more on field damage than Yinlin. Rover will be recommended to stay on field longer.
@@shiroeikami8467 Rover's damage is only good during her enhanced basics. Once that's over, her time on field is over. Whereas Yinlin damage remains consistent for longer.
The problem with the claim that she is a sub dps is born from the fact that calcharo needs her for him to reach his potential, she doesn't need him whatsoever. Thats not a subdps, its a main dps that can play subdps role.

Yinlin as sub dps is born from how quick she can charge her forte and concerto energy on top of has skills that work as off field.
actually, liberation damage is extreamly good IF you have Calcharo at R6, because he have 2 clone attack with him durring the utl and considered liberation damage. if you have R6 tho, so unless you are a fat whale, probably not
